We thoroughly enjoyed our stay for 1 night, and wished we could have stayed a bit longer. The house is immaculately restored, it's a delight. The main bedroom is the best, with a view onto the Atlantic. Breakfast was very good, big fry up and extras like fresh pineapple. The bar is a quirky delight, with some good wine.
Myself and 13 friends stayed in the Atlantic View Boutique Country House for a surfing weekend. Molly, the host, was amazing throughout the whole planning process and replied to all of my messages with helpful answers extremely promptly. She recommended surf schools, butchers, was flexible with arrival/departure times and made everything easy for me (the organiser!). The house itself is a really cool, old worldly, grand mansion. All of the bedrooms are a great standard and the house itself is just stunning. For anyone who likes a party the sound system in the main living room (with a pool table) is phenomenal! We surfed both days in Iniscrone (a 15 minute drive away) and had a memorable weekend. I would high recommend this property for a relaxing weekend break! :) ps. you'll need a car!
Molly's country house is beautiful just like the pictures. We had a great sleep in the large comfortable beds and Molly made us a great irish breakfast to get our day started. The house is huge so heating it can take a while so make sure to pack a sweater, once we got the radiator going our room heated up nicely and the beds were very warm. The view of the ocean from our room at the back of the house was beautiful but the beach isn't easily accessible from the house. Some of the toilets weren't functional but there was plenty of bathrooms in the house. The living room was great with a nice big fire a pool table and a cool bar, overall we had a great stay.
We enjoyed our stay. Beautiful house. Sligo is a great place.
