The space
★ The Red River Gorge and a number of other recreational areas in the Daniel Boone National Forest is tentatively scheduled to reopen to the public on June 3! The TREEHOUSES are still open and will remain open.

With soaring cliffs and majestic arches, Red River Gorge is an awe-inspiring place to visit. This rugged region of geological wonders astounds visitors from other places, but it is beloved by Kentuckians and known the world over to rock climbers, partly because of its many overhanging cliffs.

We are located on private land, and one of the only rentals in the Red River Gorge that is located so conveniently inside the National Park just walking distance to great nearby hiking trails while you have easy road access to other parts in the Red River Gorge such as a 15 min drive to Natural Bridge and the famous Miguel's Pizza, a staple restaurant of the Red River Gorge.
*Ask about the trails nearby and we can provide you a local map with suggestions.

Picture the magnificent sculptured rocks of Utah’s and Arizona’s national parks, surround them with a lush forest, and you get a sense of what the Red River Gorge looks like. It is laced with trails, including one that connects to the 260-mile Sheltowee Trace.

However, this Treehouse Cottage is really two in one!

After leaving the main treehouse cottage, an elevated staircase leads you to another smaller treehouse called the “nest.” Enjoy the national forest on your observation deck overlooking the trailheads while hearing the gentle stream of a nearby creek!

The “nest” provides one queen-sized bed and plenty of deck space for gatherings all 16 feet off the ground! In addition to elevated observation deck space, there is more fun to be found on the ground!!

Relax at night while you listen to gentle owls and enjoy the twinkling stars above while you warm up near a home-made stone fireplace area with bulb strung lights encircling the area.

In the morning, walk to the national trailhead location while the sun breaks through the trees following your private path.

We guarantee you this combination of outdoors & comfort amenities provides a truly unique, adventurous, and relaxing getaway experience with your friends or and loved ones!

Be sure to check out our other properties just down the hill called the “Lions Lair” and "Kentucky Breeze" that gives you another unique and special experience.

We look forward to having you stay with us, and be sure to book soon before it fills up fast!!

Guest access
★ Guests can enjoy a private parking spot located right next to the treehouse!

★ There are a few steps down to a ramp leading to the main treehouse from the parking area, which is connected to another “nest” by a staircase bridge.

★ Below is a home-made stone fireplace perfect for either cooking, enjoying a warm campfire at night, or for small gatherings!

★ A code will give you access to a key for the Treehouse during your stay.

Other things to note
☑ Firewood is not provided for the stone Fireplace. We try to keep it stocked as much as possible, but it's not guaranteed that it is there. You can pick up firewood on the way into the Gorge at any gas station.

☑ Utensils, toaster oven, running water, dorm-sized fridge, indoor heated shower, indoor toilet, private parking, outdoor grill and a large handmade stone fireplace with bulb strung lights for the perfect gathering area under the stars!

☑ Another thing to quickly note, during the winter months and for general purposes, we suggest that everyone drives cars with 4 wheel drive.

☑ Getting to the treehouse requires a somewhat steep climb up a 1/4 mile gravel road.

☑ I own a small two-wheel drive car, and I have no problems.

Be sure to check out the property just down the hill called the "Lions Lair" and "Kentucky Breeze" if you want another unique and special treehouse for friends to stay close by!

☑ Due to the nature of the treehouse and the mountain, some areas below the treehouse is somewhat unlevel as you are in a forest but is maintained! We want everyone to be safe while visiting so please be aware for small children.

* Access to the "nest" where the queen bed is located is actually a separate small unit connected by a deck. You will actually enter through the "nest" window!!!!
