There is a movie theater that you can walk to, a nature trail, plenty of restaurants, close to public transportation, great neighbors and very pretty in the different seasons.
Yes, very close to bus routes and two train lines.
Bala Station is closest and Merion Station is about a mile away.

If using kitchen to cook, must coordinate with Paul who is willing to share.
Breakfast is normally self serve with a variety of items , coffee, juice etc. Must request special items ahead of time. No clean up for breakfast required.
I was so lucky to be able to stay in Julie's beautiful home for a second time while in Philly for a course. The house and neighbourhood are beautiful. Julie was especially accommodating and even stocked the fridge to make breakfast special and based on my preferences.
What a treat!
Another nice stay with Julie and Paul. They are both lovely people--friendly and interesting to chat with. Julie puts out a great array of healthy breakfast options and French press coffee. Thanks, Julie and Paul. We hope to see you again!
Julie and Paul were wonderful hosts. We booked on very short notice, over a holiday, and they couldn't have been more accommodating! Their home is beautiful and the room was very serene and comfortable. The smallest of details had been considered. For a trip to Philadelphia, I would highly recommend their Bala Cynwyd home.
it was really nice staying at julies place. the room was good and we had a great breakfast. you can easily take the bus to downtown philly.
Julie was an amazing host! I had to take a medical board exam in the city, and Julie provided an amazing environment to study and rest the day before. Would definitely recommend staying at this place!
Julie's house was one of the most adorable places I've ever stayed! I arrived late and left early, so I didn't spend that much time there, but it had everything I needed and so much more! I feel like she thought of literally everything a guest might want or need and provided it! From toiletries to water, tea, and snacks; it was all there! The room is spacious and beautiful! The location is only a few blocks from the train and bus stops. it was in a very nice neighborhood as well! I would definitely stay again and would recommend staying here to new guests!
We greatly enjoyed our short stay with Julie. The home is beautiful and in a nice neighborhood, and the snacks and lovely breakfast in the morning saved us some time and money. Julie herself was very welcoming and understanding of our 5 hour travel delay which led us to checking in at nearly 11:00 PM. Meeting Julie inspired me to go for a run before my friend woke up in the morning, so I got the chance to see the beautiful homes on the way to Merion Botanical Park, which I recommend doing. We wished we could have stayed longer, but from our short stay we highly recommend staying with Julie if you're exploring Philadelphia.
