What we're looking for:
Considerate, quiet guests only.
Please clean after yourself and respect the building rules (ex: strictly no noise after 10 pm).
First of all I must say that the apartment is very good located, really god neiborhod and very close to the metro station.
For the rest I didn't like my experience there, the shower only works in extrems (super hot or super cold). I got dirty blankets and a towel that was falling in pieces. The apartment is on sale so the only day I could sleep late two strangers entered to the room were I was sleeping... not placent at all.
The the price changed several times since the first comuniation with the owner. And at the end I payed 50euros for water and electricity for 11 days, which is way to high, because at the moment I still don't know how much was the exact amount I used. Plus you have to buy your own toilet paper and cleaning products to avoid an extra 60euros charge. So, this I'm going to a hotel in Paris, we I know how much I have to pay from the beginning, and what to expect.
We do a lot of traveling and expect some exaggeration, but thread bear towels, (only 2) used for many years and old misc bed linens are not what we expected. The hot water was almost impossible to draw and we had to buy our own toilet paper. Sharing an apt is not something travelers from the US are used to, so working around someone else was uncomfortable. The 4 flights of beautiful steps with 4 landings comprised 80 steps UP-with luggage. Stairwell lighting would have helped when we came back at night. Yes, the area was fine and access to the Metro everyday worked. No TV, no telephone, but there was wifi. No dryer for clothes and no hair dryer. Delph wanted me to use the roommates, but the roommate did not-so buying one added weight for my traveling. The listed picture has NO relationship to the actual state of this apt. The neighborhood was fine and we appreciated reading her book by Rick Steves. Delph seemed very nice and spoke English very well. When we spoke initially we were told she was planning to fix it up and sell it.
I understand this is your first time with air b and b.
This is a shared apartment and there are stairs, and I am so sorry you expected anything else.
It is such a great neighborhood, and I am glad that you enjoyed it.
I hope you made good use of the different emails I sent you to help you organize your trip in Europe and my 3 pages of recommendations about Paris. I was happy to spend time answering your questions before your trip and during your stay.
Best of luck in your future travels !
Delph was a wonderful host! Her Appartement was very nice, good located and I would love to stay there again if I'll come back to Paris. And she has an excellent english, which is wonderful for non-french speaker.
Thank you very much Delph for your hospitality!!
I can't think of a place I would have fathered stay while I was in Paris. Delph was very welcoming, the bed was great, there was a weekly cleaner (and the place was spotless regardless) and in a fantastic location. Many thanks to Delph for making my three weeks there incredibly rewarding.
Delph's apartment is also in a great location. In the community of Montrouge, the people living there are incredibly kind. I found the people working at the Marché (farmer's market) Boulangerie, the Cave du Vin, and the local brasserie all quite helpful and easy to chat with. The bus and Metro lines are very close, and make it simple to get to the heart of Paris in minutes. Spending three weeks in Paris, I would opt to stay at Delph's rather than right downtown, as you avoid the tourists, and really profit from meeting great people in the neighbourhood. Also, it is incredibly easy and close to get downtown, given that her apartment is less than 5 minutes to the Metro.
I would stay at Delph's apartment again whenever I make it to Paris in the future.
Great experience at Delph's, the flat is very confortable, clean and equipated with everything you'd need for a short or longer stay, and same with your bedroom: great size, well iluminated (outside window) and with a very comfortable bed..
The neighborhood is really quiet, picturesque and good situated (you arrive at the metro station just walking 3 minutes, and also 2 RER stations really close, or just 10/15 minutes walking to Porte d'Orleans), with boulangeries, shops, supermarkets and anything you need for your stay.
I was alone in the flat some days, but even in those moments she wrotes emails asking if everything was allright and if there was anything I need. When she returned, she showed to be a really nice host and person. She respects your privacy in every moment, and worries that everything is in perfect (website hidden) adittion whe shared nice conversations together and she really made me feel at home.
Totally recommend to anyone looking for a place in Paris, short or longer duration. I'll repeat at Delph's when I have to return to Paris.
Delph was a great host for the beginning of our stay abroad. My roommate and I are studying in Paris for 5 months, and Delph was gracious enough to offer us a special price for the first three weeks, allowing us to really get our feet on the ground while we found accommodations for the rest of our stay. She left some cereal in the cupboard for us, and provided us light snacks from time to time throughout our stay, and upon our arrival she had the most delicious quiche prepared - something we were so grateful for after our long and confusing journey. Some nights she would chat with us about various things, and she was always quick to help if we had a question. She even offered to come out with us during Paris' annual Nuit Blanche, and showed us around the area. She is a lovely person and a kind host.
However, there are certainly plenty of things I would have liked to know before committing to our stay here: the bedroom picture is NOT the one you stay in (this is Delph's room, so unless she is out of town, I assume you will get the guest bedroom as we did). The bed, pillows, and blanket were clean but pretty severely uncomfortable. There is also a bar nearby which got rowdy a few nights of our stay, making it difficult to sleep, but for the most part that wasn't too bad. The main thing that we had an issue with were the plethora of rules posted on the wall that are not specifically stated in the listing prior to booking. For example, it implies that you may only cook or use the bathroom between 8-9:30 AM and 7-10 PM (totaling 4.5 hours of capable usage per day), since Delph works from home and uses the living room as her office area. We respected these rules to the best of our ability - and when we came home before 7, she never seemed to be upset with us. However, there were plenty of times where this was extremely inconvenient for us, as we were not here as tourists but students and would have to find somewhere to go after school since we couldn't just return 'home' right away.
I would say that this is a great place to stay for short term, but near the end of our stay we began to feel a bit uncomfortable and less welcomed than the beginning of our stay. Regardless of all of this, we thank Delph for having us and hope that our review may help others make an informed choice in the future.
Very good stay at Delph's flat. I'm not used to shared flats but Delph is very friendly and the location is very pratical location with metro station nearby, so good experience. Thanks Delph !

We are the young and friendly French owners of a typical 2-bedroom Parisian apartment with lots of extra space. We have fluent English, so communication is quite easy. We are experienced travelers and have always had guests from all over the world (through housing exchanges, couch surf ing and now airbnb !!!). We particularly enjoy meeting new people and usually share nice conversations in the evening with our guests, as well as traveling stories and local recommendations of what to do in Paris . You can expect a clean and tidy apartment, and easy-going hosts. We are fond of cinema, cooking, music, art, literature, theater productions ... We'd like you to feel home away from home when visiting Paris for your vacation, studies or new job !
