Alleyn was an amazing host. Her home is very welcoming and comfortable. She provided all the necessary amenities we needed for our trip. The bed we slept in was extremely comfortable, we felt right at home! This was our first time using AirBnB, and we couldn't be happier! It was really great getting to know Alleyn. She gave us a lot of tips as well as recommendations as to how to get around and where the best restaurants in town were. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Portland! The location was absolutely perfect. Everything from restaurants, bars, grocery stores, specialty shops, and boutiques is entirely walk-able. We spent our entire trip walking around and exploring Portland's many incredible restaurants. Thank you Alleyn for everything, we really appreciate your hospitality and kindness :)
I didn't stay there, but I got the place for two friends who were visiting from out of town. They found Alleyn's place clean, comfortable, and quiet, and said they'd definitely stay there again. Alleyn welcomed us all there, and she was a wonderful host.
Alleyn was wonderful. She made us feel so at home as soon as we arrived. I had a cold, and she even provided some Airborne tablets for me! She gave us maps of the city and area, and went through each of them explaining the different areas and fun things to see and do. She was just really lovely!
Alleyn was very welcoming and helpful. She gave us a good briefing of the area and suggestions. Her house is situated right in the middle of the neat Nob Hill area, within walking and transit distance to everything. The room and amenities were perfect, with a very comfortable bed and great kitchen facilities.
Alleyn was very friendly. I arrived very late in Portland and she was still waiting for me and after I arrived she gave me a very warm welcome and many suggestions about my next day's tour in Portland. Great host.
And the house is very clear and bed is comfortable.
I was so happy with my booking!
Alleyn was very good at communicating where to go upon arrival, since we were coming in when she wasn't home at the time. She was also very friendly and welcoming. This was my first Airbnb experience, and I felt right at home. She's a very cool house set up, where the guest bedroom is by the kitchen and bathroom, and her private room is downstairs, so you don't feel like you're overstepping. The bedroom is small, which didn't bother us at all! It had a nice wardrobe area to set your clothes in, and such cozy bedding!
She comes equipped with some really descriptive and helpful maps of the area. Pearl district was a 7 minute drive, or a short bus ride away.
You can also tell that she loves what she does, she enjoys hosting. I really enjoyed meeting her, and hope to book with her again in the future!

I live in the NW district close to the center of town because it is easily accessible from almost anywhere in Portland. Ten minutes from the airport. My great grandparents built homes in this neighborhood when it was first being developed and I have always loved this section of town. I moved to my present home in the Nob Hill district about 14 years ago.
I was an interior designer for many years and I also teach watercolor at the local community center.
I can't live without the ocean (an hour and a half drive from here), the mountains (an hour's drive), the beautiful Columbia gorge (1/2 hour) and Forest Park (minutes away).
I just saw the movie St Vincent with Bill Murray and loved it. Funny and charming.
I enjoy people from all walks of life and love to travel when given the chance.
