2 private bedrooms: A double with cast iron bath and a twin at attic level
It's a red bricked, 100 yr old house with high ceilings, original marble-ized and cast iron fireplaces. We completed it by adding a deep, claw footed, cast iron bath to a huge bedroom!
Wifi, kitchen, garden, parking, living rooms, piano, TV, everything!

There are 2 private bedrooms within the home which are reserved for the host(s). They are therefore not included or described in the listing.
For much/most of your stay, there will only be 1 host in residence. For some of your stay 3 members of the host family may inhabit these bedrooms.
The house itself and the shared living areas are spacious so for shared times there is plenty of space!
The hosts will interact with renters as much as requested. We are friendly but flexible. Perhaps maximum interaction is preferred, perhaps minimum. We respect your wishes.
This spacious, semi detached, red-bricked house in Glasnevin, Dublin is just 2 km from the city centre!
Walk to town in 25 min, cycle in 15 or take a bus from around the corner for €2.50 approx and be there in 10!
The house is set along a leafy road in a quiet residential area and is served well by public transport. There is easy access to everything within minutes! Phoenix Park (& the Zoo) are a short bus ride away and there are direct bus routes to UCD, Trinity College, College of Music, DCU and many other third level educational establishments.
It is about 30 minutes from the airport by Dublin Bus (less than €4) and only 15 minutes away by foot from the Glasnevin Cemetery Museum & Genealogy services (no. 1 on tripadvisor), Botanic Gardens, Experience Gaelic Games (no. 4 on TripAdvisor) and an array of restaurants/pubs. The famous Gravediggers pub and the Brian Boru are a short walk away and Croke Park (home of Gaelic Sports) only a little further. It's a great place to live.
The closest bus stop is 1 minute around the corner giving you access to city centre (10 min journey) & cross town buses. The airport is a 25 min public bus ride (less than €4) from the bus stop at the far end of the road (a 15 min walk). The train station is a 15 min walk giving you access to city and east bound commuter services. Parking passes are available for on-street parking at €1.25 per day.
Other Things to Note
The facilities which are included in the rent of the bedrooms are many. The house has a south facing garden with a patio and a huge trampoline. On the ground floor there is a compact, modern kitchen with a separate but adjoining dining area. Off the entrance hall there is a music room with a guitar and a piano. Adjoining this there is a large sitting room with multi channel TV. There is wireless broadband and on-street parking. A limited no of bicycles are available.
If you can maintain normal useage of electricity, waste disposal, gas, internet & water there will be no extra charge!
We have a well insulated hot water cylinder so abundant hot water is available! We include a generous allowance of electricity, gas, water, internet & waste services in your rent. Only if your useage is significantly more than normal do we charge a supplement. This is taken out of a negotiated security deposit. Our last renters used less than normal of all the services, had a great time and had their deposit returned! See the review!
Sorting of waste into the various categories is really important to us as is preparation of waste for recycling (ie cleaning plastic containers, flattening cans etc).
Please observe the guidelines for waste disposal clearly outlined in the house.
