Your own entrance and private deck with chairs and a small table create the perfect space to unwind. Whether you’re sipping coffee as meadow wildlife stirs to life or watching village life unfold nearby, it’s a setting that inspires calm.

Located right on the edge of a meadow, this spot is a haven for birders. Expect visits from warblers, hawks, and other species—all just beyond your deck.

While peaceful and tucked away, the apartment is also just a short stroll from the village. Out the back door, dive into 13 miles of stunning hiking trails. Your stay can be as quiet or connected as you choose.

🐾 Dog-Loving Home

Although we do not allow pets, this property also functions as a home, and we live here year-round with our three friendly dogs: Vida, Cosmo, and Linus. They’re welcoming and sociable—and may offer a few tail wags during your stay! If dogs aren’t your thing, this may not be the best fit for your visit.

All bed and bath linens are provided for your stay. If you plan to enjoy the ocean, please bring a beach towel - this small step helps us conserve water and energy.

Neighborhood highlights

Monhegan is a rustic, no-frills island off the coast of Maine. It is primarily a walking island, although there are golf carts and trucks for business. Two-thirds of the island is held in conservation by the Monhegan Associates, providing miles of walking trails to beautiful vistas and dramatic cliffs. There is ocean swimming access, fishing from the wharf, and lots of time to idle and relax.
There are several places to eat, a small store, and a brewery so no need to bring too much with you.
The Monhegan Museum is a must-see attraction.
