Wow, not sure why you didn’t receive any of our replies Laura but we responded in the box AirBnb allowed for private feedback. For the record, we did have a few upgrades in the home. We were excited about making it more beautiful for our guests. The plumber forgot to open the valves to the dishwasher and when Laura caught this issue and reached out, we responded immediately and had it resolved. We were not on the island during her stay but was still able to resolve any issues Laura emailed us with. We have multiple satisfactory emails of Laura being pleased with our quick responses. During her stay, the internet was down in the entire area, due to Verizon technical issues! We were on the phone with them several times during their stay and also for the guests coming after her. Unfortunately, this was out of our control. Laura never once expressed the dissatisfaction she’s expressing now maybe because she feared we gave her a bad review, which we did not. The report of diplorable state was given to us with pictures by our cleaning company of 10 years. We decided not to give Laura a bad review because maybe she did not know about the unflushed toilets. The toilets worked perfectly fine for guests before and after Laura. There was no problem at all with the toilets. We always have cleaning supplies under the kitchen sinks and only ask that guests would clean up after themselves. We opted to give her a private feedback. We’re new to Airbnb but not new to renting our summer home. We have been renting for over 25 years. We’re pretty fair and only want our guests to have a great time when visiting.
