The Space

Cute, newly renovated, cozy apartment in South Park Slope! You will sleep in a spacious private bedroom on a queen sized futon (fits 2 comfortably), with the option of adding a twin-sized bed for a 3rd guest. The front room is like a studio, so you have the bathroom on one side of the room and the kitchen on the other side. Feel free to help yourself to kitchen supplies. Coffee and tea are provided. Located a few blocks from the Prospect Ave and 25th St R train subway stops. 10 minute walk to the 4th Ave/9th St F and G train. 20 minutes subway ride to Manhattan. Walking distance to bars, restaurants, coffee shops, stores, Prospect Park, Barclays Center, Whole Foods, etc. Plenty of parking out front, internet connection, all modern kitchen appliances. Happy to show you around the neighborhood/city as time allows.

  • Brooklyn always surprises me and this was no different. Ashley's apartment was clean and cozy with a lovely breeze flowing throughout. If you don't have your subway legs yet, this is an easy walk up! Initially it didn't look like much was available in the neighborhood, walk up to 6th, 7th and 8th to see a variety of architecture and restaurants. Enjoyed shopping at LTrainVintage and dining at Giovanni's Brooklyn Eats.

  • This was my first time using airbnb and I had a great experience. The place was very clean, and the bed was pretty comfortable, and Ashley was accommodating. I would definitely recommend it.

  • This was my first airbnb experience, and it was mostly positive. Ashley was friendly and very good about communicating with us before and during our stay. We were only in town for less than 24 hours and spent very little of that time in the apartment or neighborhood. The room was clean and sufficient for our needs, and the beds were comfortable; my only complaint is that the bedding, and therefore the room, smelled somewhat of mothballs. I would definitely stay at Ashley's place again and would recommend it to any out-of-town visitor who is comfortable staying in a slightly gritty neighborhood.

  • Ashley was nice, friendly, and helpful. The room is minimal and uncluttered. The bathroom is large. The shared space is sufficient.

  • Our three night stay with Ashley was very comfortable and friendly. The room was perfect for three people, and had easy access to the R and F trains.
She resolved minor problems around the house (clogged drain) in a timely manner and everything was clean.
Long story short- would book again.

  • My first experience using Airbnb, and I was really pleased with it. Ashley was a great host, she checked in once a day to make sure I had everything I needed/found everything ok.

The room was a good size, especially for NYC. Bed was comfortable, and space heater was there in case it was cold. I could see how 2 people definitely could stay there.

The location was convenient, just a 5 min walk off the subway. A couple of cute coffeeshops nearby, but other than that, I didn't spend much time in the neighborhood. Easy access into Manhattan, so it was perfect for me.

  • This apartment is very comfortable and clean. Also it is convenient for the subway station. Though Ashley is busy student, she is good host. If you have a question, she will answer soon.

  • Other than the few cockroaches in the bathroom this is a good no thrills option quite close to the subway. For ~$40, is a definite good value.

    Response from Ashley:

Since Stuart's stay, the entire apartment has been fumigated.

  • The location was pretty easy to get to — a 5 minute walk from the station – 2 flights of stairs, not a problem for me. I slept very well in the bed, it was comfortable and quiet! Ashley was nice and very accommodating.

About
I am an NYU grad student who is very friendly and happy to show you around the neighborhood, but am also super busy! Depending on the day, I may be around or you may not see me at all! The neighborhood is fun. There is a lot to do, and its very convenient to get to Manhattan from here. The place is less than 5 minutes from the Prospect Ave and 25th St R subway and 10 min from the F and G trains at 4th Ave/9th St. There are tons of restaurants, shops, bars, etc all around us.
