Monique was the air bnb guest from hell!! She booked an hour before check in i just had someone check out a bit (Website hidden by Airbnb) the day..I called Monique before accepting her request and asked her when she anticipated arriving. She stated that she was already in NY and was tired from her commute and wanted to get some rest. I explained that we would need some time to get the place ready and asked if she could arrive closer to 3pm my check in time is listed as 2pm. She agreed, however she shows up at 2:10pm i then explained that we would need a few more minutes and asked if she had anything to eat yet. She said no so i suggested some fast food spots and gave her some coupons to feed the family consider she showed up with 5 kids and 3 adults. Monique booked for 5 people one being an infant. My listing states anymore than 2 guest there is an additional $25 per person per night. There is also a cleaning fee of 65$. 85$ for the night plus $50 for 2 additonal guest plus the $65 totals $215 any additional is the air bnb service fee. The toilet works fine u just need to hold the handle for a second or two when flushing. Monique ended up having a birthday celebration for one of the kids and had another 6 people and a dog come over for this party. Remember she told me she just wanted a place to rest. This is also on a Wednesday night. Once we realized that she anticipated for this to go on all night i sent her a message saying that all the additional guest needed to be out by 11pm. My place has a maximum capacity of 5 guest. I also stated that there is a 25$ fee for any additional guest and that the dog is not allowed i am clearly listed as no pets . she said fine however still had 8 people and the dog spend the night and didn't pay for any of the extra people nor respect my no pet policy . She never mentioned the AC til the next morning however considering i use the same wifi it did go out after midnight. I did not no why, however when i went to check the AC i realized that the outlet was no longer receiving power nor the wifi router nor the fridge and microwave. All in all 8 electric outlets suddenly stopped working... When i reached out to Monique and explained why the AC stopped working and maybe one of the 8children she had there for the party or the dog may have damaged one outlet and blew the rest of the outlets. She immediately became defensive and said that she wants a refund for the place being hot.... . YES she broke several rules didnt pay for the extra guest brought a dog damged my outlets and had a party and she wants a refund because the AC went off at midnight and the 11 people in the studio apartment were hot. The outlet that the 2 fans were plugged in worked fine and she never even opened the windows. She refuses to pay for any damages and gives a low rating all out of spite. She said herself everything was great up until she was told the guest had to leave by 11pm.. Then coincidentally things get damaged in my place.. The best thing Monique did during her stay was CHECKOUT on time!!!
