About this listing
Our house is over 150 years old. It's located about 300m from the beach of Mielenko.
Mielenko (Klein Möllen in German) is a small town, 1,5km from Mielno. Close to Koszalin and Kolobrzeg. Mielenko is a place to relax, enjoy nature, beach etc. If you're looking for nightlife, then Mielno is very near. (Our old Citroen can serve as taxi ;-)
The house is furnished with genuine antique furniture from XIX and XX century. Very comfortable beds (not antiques).
4 comfortable bedrooms, a huge salon with fireplace. A shared kitchen, small garden. Next to the house there's a playground for kids. Breakfast can me arranged by the manager of our house. The manager is present at all times.
In the area there lots to see and do. Hiking, cycling, sunbathing, several SPA's to pamper yourself. In the garden you can barbecue the fish you bought from the local fishermen.
The area is full of smalltown restaurants, especially fresh fish.
Breakfast is available, but not included in the price. Breakfast costs Eur 5,-
The Polish coast is quite popular, and people book their holidays rather far ahead. If I loose your booking because you change your mind, I rather won't find new clients. Hence the strict cancellation policy. Smoking is not allowed inside the house. You can smoke in the garden of course.
It is an absolutely beautiful house - the pictures say it all!! Huge open living room/dining room/kitchen space plus several bathrooms & toilets in the 1st floor, a small garden with a little table under a tree, and big kids playground on the next property. It was also very clean and very uniquely decorated. Lovely!
The kitchen is fully equipped with really everything - just bring a sharp knife if you're planning to do some serious cooking.
The town is very small, and mostly situated along a main road. There are some beautiful old houses, some not so beautiful newer ones, a handful of snack places (very good fish!) and two or three little minimarkets which are open late.
For bigger supermarkets, drug stores, etc. Mielno is only 2 km - and also, if you are looking for full-on holiday fun, funfair style, with lots of attractions, ice cream parlors, kids rides, etc.
The beach is great, very fine sand and quite close - just a short walk along a nice road and through a little wood. There is even a little bit of shade! However, if you are looking for cafés and entertainment directly at the beach, you should try one of the other beaches which are in the area, at Mielno and other towns.
As others have written, the caretaker and his parent live with you in the house, with his rooms directly adjacent to the living room, and also sharing the kitchen. We did not mind at all, as he was friendly and helpful, but you should be aware that you are sharing the house. When we were there, there was also his grandson in the house, who could help translating, because he was actually the only one who spoke English.
We came with 3 families (6 adults, 5 kids and 1 baby) and it was perfect! Thanks!
We had a very nice time. The building is very beautiful. Downstairs is lots of space to chill, sit around the oven, dine at the large table or just read and nap. Everything was exceptionally clean. The rooms upstairs are well equipped and two rooms have open ensuites with a bathtub and sink. We had a safe place to park two cars on the ground and the house is beautifully renovated from the outside. We stayed with 6 people and a baby and had plenty of room. Downstairs we shared the kitchen with the manager and his mother and some nights with another guest of his. Just make sure before booking how many other people will be in the house during the stay if you expect to have the whole house for yourself. They were extremely nice and helpful and we asked for added privacy and it was provided as good as possible.
It is a 8 minutes walk to the beach and we enjoyed a lot of the nice walks at the beach and wood. There are good food-shopping options 1,5km distance (Polo Supermarket). We stayed over new year's eve and Mielno and Mielenko were very quiet, most of restaurants were closed but we really enjoyed the silence.
You can feel the heart and the love that has been put into the house. That was what made us feel welcome and enjoy the time. Don't expect Niagara-Falls-Water-Pressure from Showers - this is not a 5*-Hotel. It is a cool concept, very clean facilities, sweet little details and a very nice athmosphere with perfect walk-access to the beach. If we had questions/requests, they were taken seriously. Thanks to the host, thanks to the manager!

About the Host, Hieronim
I have always been travelling a lot. But since we have two small children unfortunately there's less travelling.
In my spare time, I like to go skydiving. I also enjoy doing nothing, enjoying a walk on the beach or meet friends and have a glass or two.
I speak German, French, Dutch, Spanish, Polish and English of course.
