When we arrived at the airport Anuks housekeeper Cathy and her husband brought us with all the luggage by car to the apartment. There we also met the owner Anuk, she gave tips for nice places in Barcelona. The apartment is old and could do with some renovation, but everything functions and it was clean. The place has a Bohemian touch if that's what you like (we did), with red walls and a big lounge bed. The bed rooms are small and dark, but we were there in July and with the balcony doors open on both sides of the apartment it was never too hot. The neighborhood is great, you just walk around to find a small square for a coffee or a pizza. There were enough beds for 8 people, so we could sleep there with two families. We felt very welcome and would certainly recommend this apartment to people who care more for an authentic, cosy atmosphere than for luxury.
It would be nice to know that the sleeping rooms have no windows. And it is really dark in the flat. It is not so easy to deal with for people who have not so good eyes (like me). This is a little bit stressing. But the flat has a good vibe at all and you feel confortable and quite familiar. I liked the kitchen very much and it is nice to have the small balcony including sun. And it is very quiet in the flat, even if you are in the middle of everything. The location of the flat is excellent, you have a really good access to all the beautifull places.
Everything fine! Thanks
We had such a good time! Flow and Aunk were friendly and helpful and very understanding of our late arrival. The house was lovely, very personal unlike other airbnb flats I have stayed in. The location is great, 2 mins from the metro so easy to get around and walking distance from the beach. Highly recommended.
The first time in 45 years I slept on the top bunk bed! Five adventuresome women, from 47 to 72 years old, shared this bohemian, artsy condo for 4 nights. We enjoyed the unique decor and lay out of the living area.
Located in a quiet alley right in the middle of it all. We loved our stay at a wonderful price!
The place is great, really good localisation. Anu is very nice, everything was perfect for our week-end.
This is a very beautiful old apartment near the Barrio Gotico. Its very cozy apartment. The only downside is the bathroom, which was outside and the temperature was freezing. Both Flo and Anu are very nice and were very accommodating.
Its terrible dark cold apptment with toilet on the balcaony.
it needs renovation. Electricity falls down regularly.
smelly and has too many staff of owners.
No advice for peole with childer and couples.
Good for big parties only.
NEW PICTURES NEEDED AS APPARTMENT LOOKS TOO OLD NOW.
You really can't beat the location, right in the middle of the Gothic district, just a block from the Barcelona Cathedral. It's an old building, so that has its charms and its frustrations. We had an issue the first day getting the place to warm up (it was December, and the old electrical system in the apartment kept shorting out), but Anu and Florian were very responsive, and walked us through how to get the heaters running -- after that the place was cozy. Overall, this made a great base for our explorations of the city -- we were able to walk just about everywhere.
They offered us a very big apartment just in the center of Barcelona. You are very close to the main spots in Barcelona (except maybe some of the Gaudí attractions). They even gave us some food left in the apartment. I totally recommend them :D
We stayed in this beautiful appartment for a wek and enjoyed it a lot. It looked exactly as on all pictures, location is great. we didnt meet Flo and Anu personally, cause they were on holidays, but they were great hosts even by helpful messages. I can highly recommend the appartment, hosts and thank you once again!
