The flat was warm and comfortable enough. It's on the 2nd floor so a bit of a heave if you've heavy luggage. We had a bit of an issue with the key pick up from nearby in Skalitzer Str. due to a miscommunication with the cleaner about our arrival date, but our contact Eric soon attended to it after a phone call and he made sure we had clean bedding and towels. U-bahns and buses within easy reach and the heart of downtown K'berg within easy walking distance. We felt very safe at all times of day and night and the excellent windows do a great job of keeping the flat quiet. The wifi conection works fine, which was important to me as I had some graphic work to deliver while we were in Berlin. So yep, all in all a good experience.
We spent three nights in the flat and were very happy with it. The location is great if you look into staying in Kreuzberg or Friedrichsein, there are couple of tube stations in walking distance and a bus stop right outside.
The flat is a studio, small bathroom which works fine, big highceiling living room/bedroom with big big windows for sunlight. Kitchen also has everything you may need, plus we had towels and bedsheets fresh and clean.
We received a warm welcome from Ariel, who was very lovely and helpful. We were a bit late due to a train delay, but communication via text went well and it luckily all worked out.
The apartment itself is quite homely and wonderfully located. The kitchen and bathroom were not very modern or well-kept, but they did the trick. The mattress is nice and firm, the sheets and towels clean.
This place was great. The light, the high ceiling, the brick building across the street, the trees on the sidewalk all made our experience special. The location is perfect, in a central area with many enjoyable bars and cafes close to the U Bahn(U1) and Markthalle which you should not miss (especially on the weekends). On the other hand, shower was small and long curtains make it hard not to spread water all over to the bathroom floor. The sheets were clean but there was some hair on it. There were no other problems about the place. It was really great to stay there.
