Perfect apartment on a perfect block. On the best block in the West Village, charming and quiet Gay Street the apartment is near all subways. It has a high-end cook's kitchen with a double drawer dishwasher, a Viking stove, a microwave, a bathroom with deep tile soaking tub, a Murphy bed that sleeps two people. There is plenty of storage and closet space. Includes cable TV and wireless internet, electric and gas. There is a laundry room in the building and an elevator to third floor. Perfect vacation rental for one or two people. Walk to Meatpacking District, Highline, Soho, East Village, Lower East Side and Chelsea galleries . There are great restaurants, gourmet supermarkets and shopping in the neighborhood. You will not find another place like this! Check my website at DOsmallspaces. I specialize in designing small spaces. I also live in the building and will be glad to help you plan your itinerary if you need that.

Bianca met us at a fabulous wine bar across the street from the apartment and was full of great tips for Greenwich Village eateries, things to do in the area etc. She'd also done a really useful recommendation sheet which we used on more than one occasion.
The apartment was exactly as we expected and was perfect for our needs. The description on the website makes a feature out of the fact it's small - but it had everything we needed. We were slightly worried the bed might be smaller than a normal double or uncomfortable but nothing of the sort, and we slept very well on it.
The bathroom is gorgeous and the shower/ bath is designed beautifully. In the kitchen area, the hob is better than the one we have at home and there were loads of glasses, plates, pots etc. We also liked the way the TV was on a bracket which you could angle if you wanted to watch it from the sofas. Or keep it as it is and watch telly in bed. Nice. Sofas are stylish and comfortable. A surprising amount of cupboard space too.
A tiny word of warning (if you're a light sleeper): the fridge-freezer is in the room where you sleep and makes the usual fridge-freezer type noises through the night. We didn't have the best night's sleep on the first night because of this but found some earplugs on the second and slept like babies for all the other nights. There was no external noise disturbance at all.
Location wise, it couldn't have been better. Greenwich Village is now my favourite area of Manhattan, thanks to this trip. The immediate area is full of boutique, independent shops and eateries, we didn't have a bad (or even mediocre) meal, and we discovered that the Marie Crisis Centre was only a block away from our place (if you like musicals and friendly folk - go). We also like the way there's less of a grid system downtown, so it does have a really villagey feel. On New Year's Eve we walked to the start of the Highline from the apartment (lovely, lovely thing to do in New York), got a subway for a couple of stops and walked across Brooklyn Bridge, quick subway ride back to apartment and had a nice quiet meal with some delicious wine while watching the crowds at Times Square. Perfect.
Bianca told us she wasn't going to be around for some of the time while we were there but to call her if we had any problems at all - we didn't have any problems but when we did need to contact her she was always available on her phone. It's the first time we've felt as if we were living in New York as opposed to staying there - and I hope it won't be our last.
This would be our first choice for all future trips to Manhattan.
Bianca was very easy to get in touch with. The location of the apartment is great. Close to cafes and restaurants. There is an elevator in the building. Shower is really great. Murphy bed is comfortable for two. The apartment is a little cold during winter and the blanket is thin. The hairdryer did not work while I was there.
Bianca was really a great Host. She was very responsive and made every effort to ensure I had whatever I needed for my 5 week stay.
As for the apartment, it was wonderful. The design is so well thought out and the furnishings are attractive, functional, and of good quality. Some of the best perks for my extended stay were the dishwasher, elevator and washer/dryer on site (a HUGE convenience!)
The kitchen contained just about every gadget you could want, the closet was large, the internet was fast, the shower had great water pressure, the bed was comfortable, and most surprising was how quiet it was for sleeping.
Having lived in the neighborhood for 20 years prior to this I can say without a any hesitation this a great apartment, on a great block, in a great neighborhood, with a great host and I would definitely book here again. Thank you Bianca!
We had a great stay at Bianca's place! The apartment and location were exactly as described in the listing. We really appreciated Bianca's responsiveness throughout the whole process. She answered all our questions and provided great recommendations. We would definitely stay here again!
A cute, compact (but well equipped) studio apartment in an exceptional location to experience all that NY has to offer.
Providing unusual peace and quiet for a Manhattan apartment, the apartment has a wealth of food and drink options on your doorstep whilst being only seconds away from the Subway to take you anywhere else you need/want to be. The apartment is well maintained with great lighting (definitely appreciated!), a very functional kitchen, and clever use of space to make the apartment feel even bigger than it is.
Overall a great base for any NY stay with almost no drawbacks of note! Highly recommended!
Excellent place, great location and amenities. Great design features. Accurate description on the website and Bianca was a responsive and helpful host.
This is a gem of an apartment in a fabulous neighborhood. Unlike some airbnb apts where you feel you'redisplacing someone who lives there, this is made for guests with ample and empty closet and drawers. Bianca was a gracious host providing tips among the many wonderful restaurants in the neighborhood. Couldn't have been better.

I've been an art dealer for the last 25 years, have owned three galleries and created two museum stores in Miami where I lived for a while. I also have a website called (website hidden) since I help people design and organize small spaces. This work is what I am mostly focused on now because NYC is full of little apartments! I'm happily back from living in Miami now and enjoy tremendously my life in Greenwich Village! My father was Italian so I understand Italian and speak a little. Also understand Portuguese and French though not fluent. Love meeting people from other countries and will be available to help you discover New York and give you plenty of restaurant recommendations! I'm a foodie, love indie and foreign movies which I enjoy at 5 indie movie theaters in the neighborhood, love animals and traveling to foreign places which I do often.
