The space
I hope you come to stay with us, it is a beautiful oasis and we love to share it.
This is a very large"1918 Montecito Stone Carriage House" and I rent 2 very private master bedrooms in my house to Airbnb guests.
There is a small kitchenette in the larger of the 2 bedrooms to use and a sitting area to eat if the weather is not permitting you to eat at the table and chairs by the pool.
Mini Fridge, Coffee Maker, Tea kettle, microwave, and toaster in your room. Dishes, etc. also.
Small kitchenette in the smaller bedroom with coffee and hot water maker, microwave, and toaster oven, without a mini-fridge.
There are 2 rented rooms down the hall from you, very sweet, quiet and conscientious and often gone. It has never been a problem. If anything people love asking them about local things to do.
I also live here on the other side of the house. We are private from each other.
This is a quiet space, not a party space.
I have been renting rooms in my large Montecito Stone Carriage house for over 10 Years. I enjoy meeting new people from all over the world.
The rooms are spacious and comfortably set up to make your stay enjoyable. Close to restaurants, etc.
There is a large area to relax by the pool, BBQ, lounge chairs, hammock, table and chairs outside.

Guest access
You have a private entrance to come and go as you please and private parking. There is always access to pool. It is not heated but very warm in summer and with our long summer that is into Oct./Nov. Sitting and eating areas by the pool, on the patio are quiet and spacious. Barbecues are all year long. The rooms are on the 2nd floor accessible by stairs only.

During your stay
I will greet you when you arrive so that you get the lay of the land and feel comfortable and then you are on your own and come and go as you please. You are private from my part of the house with halls and doors so that we won't disturb each other, but if you need something you can call or text me and I will help with whatever I can.

Other things to note
This is a stone house so it is sketchy whether your cell phone will work here. AT&T and T Mobile do get reception. Verizon is not so good. You may have to walk down the road or by the pool.
Internet- I put a booster in this area, so it has enhanced what was slow internet.
I have a very friendly dog so don't worry if my Jack Russell, Otto, runs over to you to say hi. He is convinced everyone comes here just to see him.
Close to Hot Springs and Cold Springs Trail and many other hiking trails. Mountain biking area.
Minutes to all Montecito has to offer- we have great restaurants.
7 minutes from Santa Barbara
10 minutes from Carpenteria
5 minutes to Summerland
Near Beach - 5 minute drive. Miramar, Biltmore and East Beach or for surfing Bates Beach
Near Ojai - 30 to 45 minute drive.
Near Santa Ynez wine country- 45 minute drive.

Neighborhood highlights

This wonderful neighborhood is very quiet and within a rock-walled community. You may hear people outside walking or talking since it is a house, but all in all, it is very private and serene. You can walk right outside your door and enjoy nature, either walk around beautiful Riven Rock or use the local hiking trails by foot or just head to the various beaches not far away.
Because of the Corona Virus, we are disinfecting the rooms thoroughly. We are taking this very seriously and want you to feel confident in your stay at the Stone Carriage House.
Change of bedding includes changing out duvets, pillows, etc. between uses. All rooms are cleaned and then doorknobs and light switches, etc. are sprayed with alcohol at the end. I leave alcohol and hand sanitizer for your use, at your door and at the bottom door entrance to the stairway.
