  • We,family of 4, spent 5 days at the Potato Farm and had a truly relaxing time. A beautifully spacious, airy, very well appointed house and a lovely pool, and absolutely quiet surrounding.
Peaceful! A few minutes drive to various farmstands with delicious fruits and vegetables plus the famous, if somewhat bland, fruitpies. Good grocery stores not too far. The seawater and beaches are nearby, but not as tempting as the quiet of "our" own backyard/garden.
Our hosts were welcoming and always reachable, the pool very well taken care of, daily by owner.

  • Mary was the most wonderful host. She made sure we had a comfortable and pleasant stay and really made us feel as though it was our home for the weekend. We can't wait to go back and lounge by the pool in her serene gardens or make dinner in the beautiful and spacious kitchen. The close proximity to the beach was so great for our morning runs too. We miss being there already!

  • Mary is a superb hostess, and her home is exceptional down to every detail. The room layout allows for plenty of privacy with an in-suite marble bath, walk-in closet and screened glass doors that open out onto the pool; while the common areas have a harmonious flow and openness with unique feng shui inspired design/architectural features. We wanted to explore the North Fork and also take in some of the Hamptons scene without having to deal with all the South Fork traffic and crowds, and this Jamesport "retreat" was the ideal home-base for us, not to mention an uncommon value for the quality of accomodations (luxury spa/resort).

  • We stayed over the weekend at Mary's place. She was a great and very helpful host. As our car reservation in New York had been canceled and we had to go by bus to the Hamptons, Mary not only checked for us the best connection, she also took us on a trip over the whole island by her own car on the next day.

The house was exactly as described, clean, quiet, very comfortable... and all rooms have doors to the pool. I can highly recommend her place and we will definitely come back.

About
I'm from New York, a yoga professional, and author of "The 7 Day Total Cleanse". My partner is a renown painter. We are usually traveling for business: to install his large scale commissioned artworks, or for exhibitions. When we travel in between shows and installations, we like destinations with long hours of sunlight close to the equator. We are largely but not exclusively vegetarians, enjoying local specialties. We love airbnb both as hosts and guests. I am certain that being a host makes us also the ideal guests. Hope to meet you sometime, somewhere.
