Interaction with Guests
You will have the place to yourself. The neighbors are quiet and the building is designed with thick concrete demising walls.
The Dogpatch is currently the hottest neighborhood in town. It's not a tourist trap, but a true local's gem. New restaurants are opening every day. The massive development of the UCSF Benioff Hospital complex has added an energy to the neighborhood that is incomparable in most urban environments. Third street is riddled with pubs and restaurants. 22nd Street has great established restaurants and shops. Nearby Potrero Hill has a lovely strolling street with many restaurants and shops.
The KT line runs directly in front of the apartment building to locations downtown. There 22 Fillmore also picks up out front if you need to get cross town quickly. Uber usually will pick up within 2-5 minutes.
No smoking even on the patio, though the roof deck is fine for smokers. All of the amenities in the house are available for your use including heath ceramic dinnerware and all-clad cookware. Please take care when using. There are neighbors on both side, so please keep noise at a relatively reasonable level, though the walls are thick and our neighbors are very friendly. Pay special attention to noise in the hallways. The BBQ and fire pit in the common area are available for use but please be respectful of neighbors and keep clean. Return all seating to their original positions and make sure the grill is turned off, cool and covered.
All was excellent and as advertised with one exception----a copious amount of pet hair next to, and under the bed.
We spent the weekend at Adam's beautiful apartment and it was the perfect choice for a relaxing weekend with friends. The location is great and there are some delicious restaurants and bars in walking distance. Adam was very communicative and gave us some great local recommendations. I would recommend renting from him.
Adam was very nice and the home was beautiful. Definitely would recommend staying here
Not my cup of tea. Although nothing was wrong with the unit. It was very modern. The European showers were weird and messy. Call me boring. After you shower the floor is wet so getting ready in the bathroom doesn't work. We had trouble getting into the unit and there was no welcome pack or bottle of wine. The beds in the kids room left something to be desired. A thin ikea type mattress on the floor on a crate is not a bed in my household. The first morning we woke to the sun beaming into the condo. It was around 80 degrees in the unit and opening the door did not cool it down. It was terribly hot. No blinds to stop the sun. We also couldnt sit in the living room during this time because the sun was right in your eyes. However I will say he was attentive when we did reach out and solved any needs. Again just not for me.
I don't normally write responses to reviews (I have 71 positive reviews) but I'd like to address any concerns future renters might have based upon this. First, this is a modern apartment, which is clearly stated in the title of the listing. The showers are European in the middle of the bathroom. There are squeegees to dry the floor off and when used presents little inconvenience. Also a quick towel wipe would also work. The kid's beds are indeed Ikea mattresses that are built into a platform bed connected to a rock climbing wall I hand-made for my son. They are kids beds for sure, but really cool! We have floor-to-ceiling windows in the living area that open up to amazing bay views across the entire width of the apartment. The bedroom doors close so you don't have to wake to sunshine. And nobody in this building has ever put up blinds or shades to block this magnificent view. It rarely gets that hot in SF and if you open the sliding doors and the bedroom windows there's always a breeze through the entire place.
The host made us feel welcome and the view of the bay is great. I highly recommend staying at Adam's home. Minutes to AT&T park and some great neighborhood restaurants and cafe's.
Adam was a great host and communicator. The place was as described and he had an extensive visitors book waiting for us.

About the Host, Adam
I am originally from the east cost (Jersey Shore!). I moved to San Francisco in 1997 after living in Rome, Italy and then Colorado. My son was born in 2005 and he is my best pal and traveling companion (much of the time). I have been to over 50 countries and hope he can say the same before he's 20!
