This unique compound is located in the Windsor Park neighborhood of East Austin and is easily accessible by I-35 at
51st Street - close to Meuller Park and Dell Hospital.

Classic Austin- Mexico vibe, you will love this place as much as you'll love the city. Prefer 30 day rentals.

Great location, close to taco and shops, restaurants, coffee shops and on Bus Route (my fav is Contingo which is just down the road)

Offers Mexican Antiques outside with an enclosed desert landscape. My exterior collection has been brought up from many trips to Central Mexico (Real de Catorce, San Miguel de Allende, Delores Hidalgo, etc) over the years and is growing.

Come stay a while!

  • This was a great place to stay. Very clean and close to everything.
Would definitely stay here again! Robert was very easy and quick to correspond with.

  • An excellent stay - the house is huge and oozes character. There are some great restaurants in the Bywater and it's an easy enough walk to the Marigny and the French Quarter.

Robert was very helpful and quick to respond when we had questions.

    Definitely recommend!

  • The Hideaway was a perfect space for the 2 of us. Wonderful back deck, perfect little kitchen and great towels! The whole space was really livable. We rented the bikes and that made our stay the best ever. So much fun to bike to the Quarter, Frenchmens Street, the Garden District, and up to the Art Museum. Super relaxing to whiz past all of the cars in the FQ! Went to Booty's close by on Robert's suggestion and had an amazing Sunday Brunch....

  • Robert's house in the Bywater is spacious, comfortable, wonderfully located and beautifully furnished. It looks very small (and cute) from the front but keeps on going back and back! Our stay was stress free, with easy check in and out, and no disturbances at all. The neighborhood is gorgeous and peaceful with some great bars and resturants nearby. Having the bikes was fantastic - the best way to explore New Orleans.
    Greatly recommended!

  • Really great experience. My dad enjoyed his visit.

  • Nice, comfortable house. We liked the neighborhood (in the East Side). Several great local music venues. Followed up on recommendation to stop at the Balmorhea Springs on the way to Big Bend: great spot.
We walked over to Contigo for a great outdoor dinner. Great spot.
Host was very responsive to small problem with had with a new lock; added benefit was to meet him in person.

  • We've used airbnb numerous times, but this place was something else entirely. Perfect location, spotlessly clean, large gorgeous rooms, great amenities ... like the best airbnbs, it's a place you will feel at home and will regret having to leave. Robert was extremely accommodating to our schedule and made our time in New Orleans easy and rich. The area has several bars and restaurants worth visiting, and is a short walk or bike to Marigny and the French Quarter. Overall, could not have been better.

  • A great spot! Very, very clean, kitchen is well stocked, location is great, and the bikes made our stay golden; the back porch is a major plus too! Robert was very responsive via phone and text when we had questions. Thanks so much!

  • Robert's place was wonderful to stay at. The place was incredibly clean and it felt like a perfect canvas for a family reunion. It has that perfect combination of being close to the city yet feeling like you are out in the middle of nowhere. Robert is also very responsive and ready to help.
