" The apartment Amor di Casa is centrally located in Rome, in a quiet street of the Esquilino district, just steps from Porta Maggiore square and the splendid church of Santa Croce in Gerusalemme. The surrounding area is full of shops, bars and restaurants. In a few minutes by tram you can reach the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano and the animated San Lorenzo district. The apartment Amor di Casa is located on the 2nd floor of an elegant early 20th-century building. The apartment is well connected by metro, buses and trams. Manzoni Metro stop is a 5-minute walk from the apartment. the Colosseum, the Basilica of St. Clement and other monuments that have made the history of Rome can be reached on foot in 15 minutes. also 50 meters from the apartment Piazza di Porta Maggiore, where you can find buses to all directions, as the city of the Vatican, Termini station ect ...

  • What a great experience! Thank you Francesca for being (email hidden)! The apartment is just as it is in the pictures with two exceptions: there is no TV in the bedroom and the entry is much bigger than the pictures show. Francesca was always very prompt and helpful when responding to my emailed questions. Upon arrival, we were greeted at the apartment (her sister was waiting for us at the door!) ans shown around. Francesca had been so kind as to leave us some food to start our week. There were breads, fruits, eggs, bacon, OJ, milk etc.. It was perfect and so appreciated as we had been traveling for almost 23 hours and were too tired to go to the grocery. The beds were very comfortable, kitchen had every thing that you would need to make a full meal, bathroom was big enough for our family of four. Hot water lasted for about 3 short showers but we were able to work around that with no problem. There is a hair dryer for your use. The closet in the main bedroom is fantastic and I appreciated being able to hang up all my clothes. There is no air conditioning but a few well-placed fans kept the apartment very comfortable. Note that there is no living room. We always gather in the kitchen anyway but just something to be aware of. The location in on a dead end street with helped with the noise. A few nights we slept with the windows open and were not bothered by excessive noise. There is a large grocery store about a block away and gelato and pizza just around the corner. Short walk through the neighborhood from the Manzoni metro stop (about 10 minutes) though we had a pleasant walk to the Colosseum (about 20-25 minutes) every day. Upon leaving, Francesca arranged for a taxi to pick us up and get us to the airport. I absolutely recommend this apartment to anyone!

  • We stayed there for three nights and wasn't very happy about it for the following reasons:
1, The apartment is dated and wasn't very clean.
2, There is no aircondition so you have to open the window to be able to sleep at night, but there is no screen door too. My kids got a lot of bug bite.
3, Most of all, the electronic hotwater tank is small and the hotwater only lasted for about 10 minutes and then takes an hour to have the hotwater starts again. There were four of us and it's pretty painful.

  • The apartment is easily accessible by the metro, bus and trams. It's also well equipped for cooking and 5 mins walk away from a supermarket. Francesca was also very accommodating and helpful as she allowed us to check out late and helped us book a taxi to the airport!

  • The stay at Francesca’s apartment was perfect! During our stay (6 nights) the apartment proved to be ideal for a sightseeing trip to Rome as it is situated in the city center only an 8 minutes walk away from the Manzoni metro station (linea A).
Francesca is very kind and helpful and even helped us out when a suitcase didn’t arrive with our flight. She called the Italy branch office of our carrier and helped us a lot!
The apartment was clean, neat and well equipped for cooking. Francesca provided us with breakfast for the first few days (some toast, jam, eggs, milk, juice etc.).
Francesca’s apartment is highly recommended and I would book it again for sure!

  • Francesca is very nice. She explain everything you need to stay in Rome. We had a good experience for contact her during arriving Rome at night and the whole period of our stay. Apartment is clean, quiet but some point should be improved i.e. hot water, we were 4 together and last person who take a shower always get colder water.
