Judith and her husband were very friendly and I felt welcomed. The apartment is exactly as pictured. It was spacious, beautifully kept and very clean. There are kitchen utensils for cooking which was very useful if you don't want to eat out every day. Judith provided a binder filled with information about the area and the surrounding businesses as well as extra information useful for the stay. The apartment is situated closely to grocery stores, shops and other eateries. We found Manny's which is close by and was recommended by Judith herself, to be very lovely (do check it out!). The train stations are a short walk away as well which was very convenient. She was very helpful and responded quickly to any questions I had as well as kindly checked in every so often to make sure my loved one and I were keeping well. I found the bed, couch and overall apartment to be very comfortable, almost like home. I enjoyed my stay here and would book again in the future.
it was so nice to have you stay with us!
January is not always a pleasant time to visit NY with the twist of cold days and nights, but I'm always pleased when a warm smile and personality comes knocking.
You were both very comfortable in our home, and that pleases me immensely.
Home comforts, with amenities to make your life a little easier during your stay is my way of saying, come again!
I'm glad you found Manny's too.
Be well take care, and look me up again.
Judith and her husband Ralph were great hosts! They were super friendly and warm, had a great little folder prepared with nearby places to eat and drink. They are very friendly, and made us feel welcome at their home.
Their place is better than advertised. It's very spacious, very clean and comfortable. There is a big living room area with two couches, kitchen with L-shaped counter and stools, and a spacious bedroom with a comfortable queen bed. They've got lots of amenities: wi-fi, extra towels, extra comforter, extra pillows, in-unit laundry/dryer, cups/plates/bowls/utensils, and lots of closet space in the bedroom.
It was so nice having you both stay with us last week.
I know we did not meet up immediately, and it seems you both sunk right into the grove of our home and the neighborhoood.
You both are super cool, and your skate board was an added fixture....cool too!
I'm always happy to hear that we hit the mark with all that we had to offer, and better yet, you had all the room you needed; who could want for more.
Seriously! let me know when you plan to visit NY again.
Take care both of you, and thank for being great hosts!
Judith & Ralph
Judith is an amazing host; very friendly and helpful. On our arrival, even though we arrived quite late, she explained everything patiently: how to get to the subway station, where the nearest grocery stores are, where to eat in the neighborhood, etc. The apartment looks exactly the same as in the photos. It really is a perfect place to crash after a long day spent with sightseeing. The neighborhood is nice as well; it's a kind of area where neighbors say hi to you when they see you, which we really liked. The subway station is a short walk away and with the express train you can reach downtown Manhattan very fast. Great overall experience! we highly recommend this place.
You both came with great energy, and excitement, and even after a long day of travel.
It's always good to hear, where improvements we can make, and I have noted your coment, and will adjust.
Overall i'm happy to hear you found a quiet spot to relax after your long days, and get a peaceful night sleep.
My neighbours are wonderful people, who love living in our neck of the city.
All the best
Judith made us feel very welcome- the apartment was beautiful. Extremely clean, lovely decor and very well equipped. Only 10min walk from the subway. We had a great time, thank you!
We had a very happy time staying at "Emma's" place. It is spotlessly clean, comfortable and well set up for travelers to enjoy a home away from home. It is in a lovely neighborhood and it's a very peaceful environment. Judith and Ralph are perfect hosts: warm, friendly and helpful.
Thank you for choosing to stay at our Emma's Place this past week.
I'm so happy I was able to accommadate you both.
It was a pleasure to host you both, and i'm so pleased you enjoyed the comfort of our apartment, all the amenities, as well as our area of Bed Stuy, and surrounding Brooklyn, and Manhattan.
Thanks for your suggestions, i kindly noted and will include going forward :)
Safe travels and keep in contact.
Our stay at "Emma's Place" was absolutely lovely. Judith is a great host--very organized and scheduled our first day meeting weeks before we got there and without me having to contact her. The apt is spacious, comfortable and very clean. It's in a quiet neighborhood and is easily accessible by bus or subway. I would definitely stay there again. Thanks Judith!
I do my best to make arrivals as smooth and seamless as possible.
I'm really glad you enjoyed, and appreciated the spacious apartment, the cleanliness, and attention to detail, an added plus.
You were both a pleasure to host, and again do not hesitate to look us up on your next travels to NY.
Best wishes - Judith - Ralph
We, family of 4, had a wonderful time at 'Emma's Place'. Very comfortable, perfectly clean apartment with enough space for 4. Two comfy sofabeds for our teens. Large kitchen, large master bedroom and a bathroom with a good shower. Judith is a perfect host. Very friendly and service oriented. She responds quickly to questions and gave us good info about the neighbourhood. Restaurant tip: Saraghina's at Halsey Street. We had the best wood oven pizzas ever! For Europeans it's a rather long walk from 'Emma's Place' to the subway (in Holland we would use a bike) approx. 15 mins. Then, with the 'A' train about 30/45 mins to Manhattan. But it's all worth it! Thank you Judith & Ralph.
I'm glad you had a good time at Emma's Place.
Your review is well received, and i shall certainly make a note of all your suggestions.
You made the most of your time, and your boys certainly enjoyed the comforts provided in the apartment.
It was a pleasure to have you stay, you are all very welcome any time to stay.
Enjoy your travels, and again, thanks
Judith & Ralph
Hi, I was born in London, and moved to the U.S over 20 Years ago. Brooklyn has been my second home ever since, and I love it!!
Working as a Personal Assistant for a technical company here in NYC keeps me busy, I guess you could say, being organized is just up my alley!
I love entertaining not just during the holiday season, but any excuse to cook up a delicious dish and have friends over.
When I can, travelling abroad to see family, and spending quality time with them is a must whenever possible.
We all need down time in our lives!
