Our house is 2 miles from Tennesse Valley, one of the main trailheads in the area, with great hiking and mountain biking in the Marin Headlands.
We are also a minute away from a dedicated bike path which ties into a huge cycle path network.
Our location is very convenient for getting into San Francisco by car or bus (we are 1 minute from a bus route) as well as exploring Muir Woods, Stinson Beach and Marin.
We often get asked if you can cook or if there is a microwave. We have delibarately not provided one as there is nowhere to wash dishes, sit down and eat etc. Afriad this is just a bedroom and a bathroom with a kds bunk room off the bathroom
I had a great holiday in Mill Valley at David's place. The separate unit is very clean, modern, private and spacious. Is like having your own new apartment in such amazing place with beautiful landscapes and yet very close to San Francisco. David and Nancy are such nice, respectful and very considerate people. They provided coffee and tea, plenty of towels, hair dryer, a fan for heating in case of need and very usefull guidance for exploring the area. This is the perfect place to stay in the San Francisco Bay Area. Highly recommended!
Very lovely stay. Quiet, private room just what we wanted. Only sorry we didn't get to meet you! Many thanks, David.
Very nice hosts with a wonderful separate apartment below their house. It's beautifully designed, very silent, comfortable and the perfect starting point to discover Marin county. I had a very relaxing time with lots of sleep there and would certainly book it again
Our Host, David, was very nice and helpful with anything needed, attentive even during busy holidays and amidst his own travel schedule. David fixed problems we encountered with sink draining, and worked on wifi as well—the wifi probably will be fine when next Air BnB-er moves in, as he arranged for professional help on that.
The room is in a beautiful garden, and inside two rooms and bath were immaculately clean and beautifully decorated with nice artwork and bedding, a comfortable queen-size bed, night stands, a kettle and tea/coffee items, and a chair. The bathroom was stocked with shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and other personal care items. The second bedroom would be great for kids--it has a bunkbed, chest of drawers, and chair.
There was no desk/chair should someone need to do work while there.
There is a full step up/down to bathroom from main bedroom. Anyone with accessibility issues needs to know about that.
The “Instant” hot water took 5 minutes of running to heat up--we suggested host get that checked. Again, he is responsive when help needed and very congenial, so this will probably be attended to.
We recommend this property, especially for people traveling with children for whom that extra bunk room might be useful. It is quite similar in accommodations to a hotel room, but with the extra room that can sleep 2 kids.
David and Nancy's home was warm, welcoming and just what is needed while spending time in Marin. Its quiet patio is secluded with french doors that open to a stunning garden that feels as though its all yours.
David was extremely timely in responding to any needs and offered the thoughtful details of clean linens, a bottle of wine and coffee in the morning. Experiencing their home is exactly why Airbnb is such a treasure.

I am English but am lucky enough to live in Mill Valley with my wife, Nancy, having moved here from London in May 2008. We both love the outdoor life in Marin taking advantage of the beautiful scenery to go running, hiking and cycling right from our doorstep.
We both enjoy traveling having visited numerous places in Europe, South East Asia and now the US.
