You also have full access to the sitting room where you can relax after a long day of sightseeing, watch a movie (there is a big selection!) or play the piano. You will also have your own key to the house so you can come and go as you please :)
Interaction with Guests
You will be living in your Dublin home with me, and my two adorable dogs :) We have our own bedroom and bathroom and we can share the rest. I will be living in the house while you are here (unless I tell you otherwise) so I am ready to chat, give you tips about my city and answer any other questions you may have. But of course if you need your privacy, don't worry, the house is big enough to feel like you are home alone! ;)
Adamstown is a great neighbourhood. It is close enough to Dublin that you can get in to the city in 15 minutes by train, but it is nice to get a little taste of life in Dublin outside of the city too. I live beside Lucan village which is a typical small Irish village. You can find many pubs (one that has a traditional thatched roof!) and restaurants in the village, even though it is quite small. It is such a nice village that the Italian ambassador decided to call it home!
One of the best secrets about Adamstown is that just behind the house, hiding behind some trees is a very old country house hotel! Finnstown house is our neighbor, there you will feel like you have taken a walk back in time to a much older Ireland in this authentic old Irish country house. You can have a meal, or just a drink here or even take a peaceful walk around the grounds, where you will meet the resident...llamas and ostrich!!! Only in Dublin! ;)
For your convenience, we have our very own train station, Adamstown Station! This brings you directly into Heuston Station in Dublin City! Take this short train ride and you will find yourself on the river liffey, beside the Guinness factory and Phoenix park! Trains run once an hour and I can give you the best prices depending on how long you are staying :)
You also have the option to take a bus in to the city, it takes a little longer (the bus likes to stop everywhere!) ;) but they go every 15 minutes. There is also a nightlink bus that takes you from the city back home on Friday and Saturday nights. It runs at midnight, 1am, 2am, 3am and 4am and costs only €6!
You can just tell me your plans and I will happily help you organise the best way around :)
Other Things to Note
It is my hope to make your time in Dublin unforgettable! I want you to feel at home while you are here and I would love to help you in anyway I can. I am happy to help you plan your trip too and give you my recommendations of places to see and where to eat and drink! Don't hesitate to ask :)
We are a dog loving house so you would have to like dogs to stay with us! ;) The dogs are small (Pomeranian) very well behaved dogs and are house dogs. They come to work with me in the daytime but you will probably get to hang out with them once in a while in the evenings, if I am out for a few hours. But I will always let you know in advance. And if you want to bring your furry family member along, please feel free!!
We are also a non smoking house, but there is a back garden for your smoking needs!
Your very own private bathroom with shower and bath and a selection of shower gels and shampoos
Karen made us feel right at home! She gave us a map of Dublin and showed us where all the points of interest were and even gave us some incredible local tips! Her home was just as pictured and it was a nice quiet retreat when we were done exploring for the day. Her dogs Roxy and Jasmine were so cute, playful and so well behaved!
Karen was the most amazing host of an Airbnb that I have stayed in throughout my travels during my semester abroad in Madrid. The bedroom, bathroom, and house overall were well furnished, comfy, and stocked with all the amenities you could ask for. The dogs Roxy and Jasmine were also so adorable to have around. Karen supplied us with many suggestions, maps, and insights about Dublin that only a local would know. We loved spending time chatting with her when we were home and could not have asked for a better experience. It made me love Ireland that much more!
Karen and the girls (doggies) accepted us last minute and instantly made us feel at home. She offered us lots of advice and provided plenty of resources about Dublin, the neighbourhood around the place, and Ireland in general. The place exceeded our expectation and has set a very high standard. We had no trouble catching train to and from Dublin city centre from the place. Thanks very much. Fully recommended!
What can I say, this was the second time I stayed at Karen's place. The house is perfect, the room is really comfy and the location couldn't be better. About Karen, simply I don't have words to say how great host and person she is. And there is a bonus, her little dogs are so lovely and well behaved, that is really hard not to love them. Thank you Karen again for such great stay, all the best of the world for you.
Great stay and great location, loved my stay and the place was fantastic. Cutest dogs in the world! The location is just a short ride from city centre. I recommend this place for anyone who wants to wander Dublin. Ms. Karen was a fantastic host, providing all the essentials; food, trav guides, and her own experiences on her travels.

About the Host, Karen
Hello! I am an Irish girl living in Dublin where I was born and raised. I love to travel and have had the opportunity to visit some incredible places so far! I lived in France and Canada for a bit and traveled in South America, Africa, the Middle East and all over Europe. When I travel I love to see the local secrets of the city and get a feel for the local people. I am loving Air BnB because you feel like you are traveling in your own home, meeting people from all over the world! Amazing! Besides traveling and meeting new people, I love music, writing and my two dogs, who live in the house with me. They are two very friendly and adorable Pomeranians:) Can't wait to host you and welcome you to Dublin!
