Cosy and private bedroom with private bathroom in a spacious three bedroom home. Come stay in this beautiful part of Dublin, only 15 mins from the city centre by train. Have a home away from home with use of kitchen & sitting room at your leisure!
Welcome to your Dublin home :) This is a modern three bedroom house with a spacious sitting room, kitchen and three bathrooms. Your room is a private double room with a double sized bed and it has a large double wardrobe and two sets of drawers, so unpack and feel at home! ;)
You have your own private bathroom that has both a shower and bath and is stocked with shower gel, shampoo, toothpaste etc and anything else you might need. You are also provided with your own towels and a hairdryer.
In addition to your own double bedroom and private bathroom, you also have full access to the kitchen at any time of the day or night. It has a fridge/freezer, cooker, microwave and a dishwasher. Feel free to help yourself to any food in the house and also to stock up the kitchen with anything you buy. I also provide a continental breakfast of orange juice, tea, coffee, milk, cereal, bread and bagels. Enough to get your day off to the right start! :)
You also have full access to the sitting room where you can relax after a long day of sightseeing, watch a movie (there is a big selection!) or play the piano. You will also have your own key to the house so you can come and go as you please :)
Interaction with Guests
You will be living in your Dublin home with me, and my two adorable dogs :) We have our own bedroom and bathroom and we can share the rest. I will be living in the house while you are here (unless I tell you otherwise) so I am ready to chat, give you tips about my city and answer any other questions you may have. But of course if you need your privacy, don't worry, the house is big enough to feel like you are home alone! ;)
Adamstown is a great neighbourhood. It is close enough to Dublin that you can get in to the city in 15 minutes by train, but it is nice to get a little taste of life in Dublin outside of the city too. I live beside Lucan village which is a typical small Irish village. You can find many pubs (one that has a traditional thatched roof!) and restaurants in the village, even though it is quite small. It is such a nice village that the Italian ambassador decided to call it home!
One of the best secrets about Adamstown is that just behind the house, hiding behind some trees is a very old country house hotel! Finnstown house is our neighbor, there you will feel like you have taken a walk back in time to a much older Ireland in this authentic old Irish country house. You can have a meal, or just a drink here or even take a peaceful walk around the grounds, where you will meet the resident...llamas and ostrich!!! Only in Dublin! ;)
For your convenience, we have our very own train station, Adamstown Station! This brings you directly into Heuston Station in Dublin City! Take this short train ride and you will find yourself on the river liffey, beside the Guinness factory and Phoenix park! Trains run once an hour and I can give you the best prices depending on how long you are staying :)
You also have the option to take a bus in to the city, it takes a little longer (the bus likes to stop everywhere!) ;) but they go every 15 minutes. There is also a nightlink bus that takes you from the city back home on Friday and Saturday nights. It runs at midnight, 1am, 2am, 3am and 4am and costs only €6!
You can just tell me your plans and I will happily help you organise the best way around :)
Other Things to Note
It is my hope to make your time in Dublin unforgettable! I want you to feel at home while you are here and I would love to help you in anyway I can. I am happy to help you plan your trip too and give you my recommendations of places to see and where to eat and drink! Don't hesitate to ask :)
We are a dog loving house so you would have to like dogs to stay with us! ;) The dogs are small (Pomeranian) very well behaved dogs and are house dogs. They come to work with me in the daytime but you will probably get to hang out with them once in a while in the evenings. And if you want to bring your furry family member along, please feel free!!
We are also a non smoking house, but there is a back garden for your smoking needs!
We have a wonderdul stay with Karen. She is absolutely amazing and so nice : the perfect host !
The house is very nice, fully furnished and well decorated. We really felt like at home during the stay. Also it is closed to the train station and bus stop to go to city centre.
We recommend this house to everyone ! You will love to stay with Karen, Roxy and Jasmine !!
It was my first time in irland. Karen was a nice , lovable and good hostess . Your apartment is clean and modern. She has always helped me when I had problems ! I will come back in any case when I'm back in Dublin !!! ❤ thanks a lot Karen! And I love her sweet dogs
Karen is very nice, super helpful - a pleasure to stay with! Her dogs are adorable and lots of fun. The room is absolutely lovely, very comfortable. I would certainly stay here again, when i am in Dublin!
Karen was a wonderful host. She made us feel very welcome before we even arrived. She provided us with lots information about the city such as pubs, attractions, and the best way to get around. The room was very comfortable and cozy and her house is lovely. It's a very nice neighborhood with both a bus and train station within walking distance. I would recommend this room to any of my friends traveling to Dublin.
Karen was very friendly and kept regularly in touch with messages and left us. The house is very nice and we were provided everything that we needed. Karen wasn't there when we stayed but left everything that we needed including guides and breakfast and was very quick to give directions and recommendations.
Staying at Karen's was absolutely lovely! The place is charming and cozy and Karen is one of the kindest and friendly hosts I've met. She picked me up at the airport, even gave me a ride to the supermarket and made me feel completely at home.
The only thing I regret is staying for so short term. =P

Hello! I am an Irish girl living in Dublin where I was born and raised. I love to travel and have had the opportunity to visit some incredible places so far! I lived in France and Canada for a bit and traveled in South America, Africa, the Middle East and all over Europe. When I travel I love to see the local secrets of the city and get a feel for the local people. I am loving Air BnB because you feel like you are traveling in your own home, meeting people from all over the world! Amazing! Besides traveling and meeting new people, I love music, writing and my two dogs, who live in the house with me. They are two very friendly and adorable Pomeranians:) Can't wait to host you and welcome you to Dublin!
