Kona's best & most requested location. It is only one of two resort condos at a white sand beach in Kona. The Kona Reef Condo Resort is the perfect location for your Hawaiian vacation. Your lanai will be less than 70 feet from the waves. Enjoy!
You are so close to the waves you’ll feel the ocean spray when surf’s up!
You will relax with the spectacular Ocean and sunset views from kitchen, living room and lanai. You will have open bedroom with King size bed, one bath condo apartment. The full kitchen is fully equipped.
Play on the white sand beach next to the condo. Relax in the ocean-side pool and spa. Snorkel, surf or watch the turtles, whales and dolphins from the lanai. Stroll thru the Royal Kona Resort, two blocks to 10 of Kona’s best restaurants and nightclubs (some mediocre ones too). Just three more blocks to the farmers market, Royal Palace, more restaurants and quaint (sometimes tacky) tourist shops of Kailua-Kona Village.
You will enjoy this deluxe unit in paradise: Third floor privacy, Elevators, Air conditioning for when the ocean breeze isn’t enough to keep you cool, A parking garage to keep car cool too. Quiet-all concrete building, KING SIZE super BED, Washer/dryer in unit, Two TV’s, DVD, VCR ,CD/cassette stereo system, Full kitchen with corian counter tops, large refrigerator, convection, smooth top range, dishwasher, microwave, full-size range, coffee maker, rice cooker, blender, everything you won't need to cook, since you will be eating in the multitude of nearby restaurants, Boogie Boards beach chairs, mats beach towels and cooler for enjoying the beach. Free telephone calls to anywhere on the Big Island(sure beats hotel charges) and free highspeed WiFi too! (Gee, I sound like a real estate agent.)
We also own a coffee farm and long-term rental houses in Kona. We have our own people to take care of problems like locking your keys in the condo after office hours or if something breaks in the unit (but please don't break things) The most common problem guests have is that they do not want to leave.
Guests are welcome to visit our private KonaZona Coffee Farm Art Gardens and Tiki Bar. It’s 4 miles from the condo in the artist colony of Holualoa. Our farm is easy to find on the internet. Come up to the farm and get all-you-can-pick and eat papayas, bananas, mangos, oranges, limes, pineapples, grapefruit and Mac nuts or tropical flowers. Whatever is in season, is yours. If the friendly natives are home, visit us in our backyard Tiki bar and talk story.
Our farm tenants include a Captain, the Divemaster and the Snuba operator on the Fairwind boats, Hawaii’s highest rated snorkel, manta and whale watch cruises. They will give you a 30% discount. Wow! Another tenant owns the best charter fishing boat in Kona, the Intrepid. He’ll give you a discount too!

The resorts has an ocean front salt filtered heated pool and warm jetted spa. The party pavilion has stainless steel BBQ's for your use. The grass sunning lawn along the ocean is a pleasant place to relax.
Don't forget that Hawaii State taxes are 13.42%. It's the cost of paradise! At sunset, stop what you are doing and watch. Don't pee in the pool when I am in it. The resort has two designated smoking areas. No smoking in condos, lanais or pool area. Pool is open until 10PM and quiet time is enforced after that time. Please don't feed the birds that visit the lanai , (they poop) Don't squish the geckos. The geckos are our friends.
What a great location! Condo is right on the water, 3rd floor of a 4 floor building. Very well appointed with all our wants met. Host very prompt to respond to questions while we were on island.
While I didn't actually get the chance to stay at this property due to an access issue with the door key, KonaDave seems like a nice guy and the condo's location on the waterfront and near the town centers seems ideal.
The condo building appears to be mostly vacation rentals, complete with festive vibe. For those who don't like resorts or hotels (and who don't want to rent a whole house), this is probably a great option.
I wish I could say more, but we were unable to check-in for more time than we had to spare, so we decided on alternate accommodation. KonaDave gave us a full refund for the mix up, which is greatly appreciated.
Dave has a very nice Condo right in town. The sound of the waves is lovely and the location's convenience is great. There are chairs and snorkel gear as well as some very basic housewares. While the apartment is pretty small, we didn't need much and Dave was as nice as could be. The night we got in it was unseasonably warm and humid. That night we used the air conditioning and it worked fine. It cooled off the day after and we found we did not need it for the remainder of our stay. The place was clean and met our needs.
The condo was nice, clean and in a great location....right by the ocean, overlooking the pool area, next to a nice small beach, and easy walking distance to shopping and restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay there. Did not get to meet Dave in person, but our experience in his condo was wonderful.
Awesome, awesome, awesome. . . location, amenities, communications, etc. The condo was clean, well appointed, and comfortable. Walking the 2 blocks to the Acai Bowl for breakfast was a great way to start our day (wish they had one here in Montana). We have absolutely no complaints and we will be back. Thanks for everything Dave.
The reservation was canceled 115 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

KonaDave is a coffee farmer and world traveler! His great, great, great uncle brought the first coffee plants to Kona in 1828, the rest is coffee history.
He was born in Seattle, Washington and when not traveling the world splits his time between homes in Kona, Hawaii, and Edmonds, Washington. He travels over 100 days a year. He grew up (friends say he never grew up) in Seattle and graduated from the University of Washington before a career in the newspaper business. He worked for a Washington Post company and the San Francisco Chronicle.
He "retired" from the newspaper business when his daughter was born in 1987. When she was three months old KonaDave started traveling the world. His daughter left dirty diapers in 24 countries before she was three. KonaDave has explored over 100 nations and states around the world. Italy is his favorite to visit. He also runs a real estate investment company between travels.
He loves to show people Hawaii's hidden treasures and his KonaZona Coffee Farm, Art Gardens and Tiki Bar. Come visit him at the farm and he will let you pick all the coffee, fruit or flowers to take back to the condo. He will share and cup of Kona Coffee or Mai Tai in his backyard Tiki Bar. If you are lucky one of his famous parties will happen when you are in town. They are legendary!! The KonaZona is only 4 miles and 100 years away in historic Artist filled Holualoa town. KonaDave and the famous KonaZona Coffee Farm, Art Garden and Tiki Bar are easy to find on the internet. Check it out on your internet explorations of the Big Island!
