  • Had an amazing time staying with Cab. He told us all of the great spots to check out on the North Shore and his place is awesome. Breakfast included delicious fruits and veggies from his garden. If you want to experience a real Hawaiian vacation outside of Honolulu, stay here and explore the nearby areas!

  • Cab was the best person to spend our time with as we started our trip! I was traveling with my girlfriend and we both thought he was so warm and welcoming. He made a point to make us breakfast from scratch each of the the days we were there, using the food he grew in his garden or got from other friend's gardens (he's largely into permaculture and loves to share how it works with you! We learned so much from him in our short time with him!)

He also had yoga mats and encouraged us to use them, which was great since we were there for a marathon! He walked in while we were stretching, and being a yoga instructor also, offered us some great tips to help us get ready!

Beyond his great hospitality and interest to learn from us (and vise versa) he was one of the most uniquely amazing people we met on our trip. We hope our paths cross again someday, but until then, anyone who gets the opportunity to stay with him should take it, as it's truly an incredible experience!

From an ambiance standpoint, he has a great home as well, and you'll feel very comfortable during your stay.

  • Comfortable rustic relaxation. I stayed with Cab during the first couple nights of a work trip to Hawaii. It was a great decision; the North Shore is a unique area of O'ahu, and staying with Cab was the perfect way to get myself into Hawaiian mode. Cab's house is lovely and artsy, and only a short walk from the center of historic Hale'iwa. He should rename this from B&B to Bed & Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner, because that's what he gave me! Amazing fresh fruit and vegetables from his property for all meals. which we ate on his comfortable back deck. Listening to the bullfrogs in the nearby marsh and the roosters reminded me of when I was a little girl growing up in the country. There are great nooks and crannies for relaxing and exploring around the property, and bikes you can borrow as well. Cab is a thoughtful, generous, interesting host - ready to chat, give you recommendations for food, shopping, or surfing, or to leave you to your own business. When I next head to Hale'iwa, I'll look forward to staying with him again.

  • My family had a ten day stay on Oahu. We spent the first two nights with Cab and loved it so much we went back the second weekend! Luckily he had availability. Cab is a charming host and amazing cook. He is well connected on the North Shore and can direct you toward unique sites, great farmers markets, noteworthy artists and good recommendations for eating out in Haleiwa. The bikes were a big benefit, as we were able to avoid some of the in town traffic while chilling out on beach cruisers! All in all we had a great time, and i look forward to the next time I can be on the North Shore!

  • This experience was beyond my expectations. Cab fed our hearts, minds and our bellies. He helped us stretch- literally and figuratively, and that put us on the right track to relaxation for the rest of our trip in Hawaii. As a fellow plant geek, he led me, my husband and our kids in on a tour of a local garden, showing us some of Oahu's wild food secrets. He cooked breakfasts from fruit and vegetables straight out of his garden. It's a free-flowing life here, so to get the most out of it, take a few days! I regret we only spent two nights. Cab is a great guide- from food recommendations to where to find a turtle basking. Take a page from Cab's book (and the sea turtle's too). Slow down to take in all Hawaii has to offer. Mahalo Cab!

  • My wife and I had a wonderful time at Cab's place! We live in Waikiki but felt like we were on a different (and much more relaxing) island while we were out there. Cab is the personification of the North Shore of Oahu, and we highly recommend staying with him if you want to experience the "real" Hawaii. We left inspired and refreshed!

  • The listing was exactly as described. Cab was a knowledgeable host who lived and shared a Hawaiian way of life that you cannot experience in any five star resort or hotel. His understanding of relaxation, fresh food, and Island living helps you to really get into the finer, simpler Hawaiian pleasures. Set back a little ways in the forest, its like sleeping in paradise. For the surf inspired, this house was located in the perfect place to hit all the top spots on the North shore. I'd recommend Cab's place to anyone.

  • You will feel like you are a million miles away from Waikiki, as Cab creates a local experience that few visitors will know.
His knowledge of locally procured gourmet ingredients is broad.
Many things he served us came from his garden. He literally ran out and harvested, minutes before breakfast.
Cab's a great guy, too. Really enjoyed him.

I Have traveled to several destinations throughout the world surfing. Australia,Barbados,Costa Rica,France, Indonesia,Mexico, Senegal West Africa. The dream was to create a travel destination with the benefits of exotic places beaches ,food, leisure, yoga, massage, surf, and safety in one location . I've done it and it's here. My most recent travels have taken me to the western U.S. experiencing Burningman & Bhaktifest . My interests have expanded beyond surfing into yoga, massage, wellness, permaculture, arts, music, etc.... Doing what you love and making a living doing it creates an infectious cycle inspiring people to lead happy productive lives while meeting other interesting inspired people . I think life turns into what we wish & create it to be. What do you think?
