The house is situated in the very tranquil neighbourhood of La Genette, near to the casino, the beach and the parks, only 15 minutes walk from the town centre.
The house has a living-room with sofabed, dining table, TV, and well-equipped kitchen area with traditional oven. There is a bathroom with shower, washing-machine and toilet, one double bedroom (140cm bed) and a small courtyard with table, chairs and BBQ.
There is free parking in front of the house. Internet is available. Sheets, bathroom towels and tea-towels are provided.

Nearby there is a bakers, butchers shop, bus stop, pizza van on Monday nights, and 5 mins. walk away you will find more shops;
a café and tobbaconist, butchers, delicatessen, grocery shop, newspaper shop, florist and chemist as well as doctors and dentists.
Bikes are available to hire outside the house (URL HIDDEN) La Rochelle has many cycle paths which will enable you to explore both the town and the coast.
You can of course also take the bus, and perhaps spend a day on the Ile de Re - the bus stop is very near to the house; or you could hire a bike and discover the island via it's numerous (100km) cycle paths.
Departing from the port of La Rochelle, which is within easy walking distance, you can take a boat to visit the well-known Fort Boyard and also discover the Ile d'Aix, where you can spend the day on the island away from civilisation (no cars are allowed on the island).
Other Things to Note
You will be able to eat delicious oysters and seafood, as well as wonderful fish that you can buy at the vibrant La Rochelle market - to cook at home, or sample in several good restaurants that I can tell you about.
If you want to go further afield by car, you can discover the Cognac area in one day, and stop off at Aulnay de Saintonge to visit the splendid Roman church (URL HIDDEN) You are also not far from Futoroscope which is near to Poitiers (URL HIDDEN)
Another extraordinary place to discover is the Cordouan lighthouse near to Royan. (URL HIDDEN)
