Great neighborhood! We loved staying there. The apartment was nice and clean. The instructions given by Mr Dq were very clear. Next time we will try to rent this flat again.
Stayed there the second time because I like the place and the neighborhood.
I would like to thank Mr. Dq for the use of the apartment while we were in London. He was flexible with our early arrival and a great communicator. The apartment is exactly as it appears and described in the listing, clean and comfortable - the washer/dryer was a blessing! The location put us right where we wanted to be. Our first experience with Airbnb was a positive one and we would do it again in a heartbeat!
It's with regret that I have to write a 'some good some not so good' review, as every other review for this apartment has been fantastic, which is why we booked it. Firstly the good parts:
- SUPERB location! Everything you could want on your doorstep
- Easy and secure access in to the flat, two security coded doors and then your own door.
- comfortable bed (although the pictures don't quite represent how high it is off the ground so if your under 5'5 like myself, you might find it a bit too high)
- double glazing stops the outside traffic noise
Now for the not so good parts:
- we had A LOT of trouble with the guests upstairs (Mr Dq is owner of both properties) and although our host did everything in his power for the three consecutive nights, they would not let up. They might be the rudest, most inconsiderate people I've ever met. Judging by the previous reviews for this place, it is NOT COMMON to hear noise so loud (we had to stay the last two nights of our reservation at a friends house on their floor) and this kind of level of noise is definitely not to be expected. I think it was bad luck on our part.
The host was extremely prompt in replying to our messages (even at midnight when the girls upstairs were being excessive on a Tuesday night) and was sincerely apologetic about the upstairs situation. Everything (except that) was hassle free!
Naturally we are as upset as Danni at the disrespectful behavior of the other airbnb guest. As always we checked their previous reviews but in this case it seems something was awry, which is a first. Despite our requests and best efforts to have them make less noise (which must have been significant given the rigorous sound proofing between each apartment) it seems they decided to remain selfish. It is also a shame Danni didn't tell us she was considering staying with a friend - as the bad guest left two days before Danni was scheduled to leave...
We were very pleased to find a place in this busy neighborhood that was comfortable and quiet. Cozy bedroom with a platform bed that offered a good night's rest after busy days of sightseeing. We stayed at our son's flat a short walk from the apartment, and found ourselves awake for three nights because of the wild nightlife. The "Perfect Shoreditch Apartment" worked out perfectly for us.
Many thanks Mr Dq!
The place is great, great neighborhood, etc. Margo was very helpful, we had everything we needed.
This apartment is very clean and location is perfect for public transport. Mr. Dq is very kind and nice to guide us when ever we need his help.
