Just over 100m to a surf beach that is popular wiith locals on Sundays, attracting a range of snack vendors, the neighborhood is relatively quiet and peaceful during the week, yet close enough to walk to Sanur, and easily access most parts of Bali via the Ngurah Rai and Ida Bagus Mantra Bypass roads. We can arrange driver with a car or rental motorbike, or bicycles with prior warning.
The ocean-side pathway (ideal for walking or cycling) connects south all the way through Sanur to Blanjong, and north to the Ayung rivermouth temple. Otherwise it's more practical to get around by car or motorbike (rental available, we can help arrange) as our access road connects to the Ngurah Rai Bypass - 2km to Sanur, 6km to Denpasar, 25km to Ubud. The airport can be reached in 15 to 30 minutes with the new toll road. If you land before 8PM, you can catch the Sarbagita bus from the airport to our neighbourhood. Best you hop off at the bus stop AFTER the Sanur KFC traffic lights. We are happy to pick you up there (but you'll need to phone us when you get there).
I had a very pleasant stay. Sarita was welcoming and accommodating, the pavilion was comfortable and the pictures of the property reflected accurately what was available. The local beach was a few minutes walk across a field, and the tourist beach with all the shops and restaurants was an easy 10 minute stroll.
Thanks for an enjoyable stay.
Kadek and Surita's gorgeous little open air balinese pavilion was absolutely perfect for the night I spent in Sanur, Denpasar on my first trip to Bali! The main house itself with the garden pavillion to the side is tucked away in a local suburb so its far away enough from the commercial hotels and gives you a good idea of what its like to live like a resident in Sanur.
It is clean, has a mosquito net provided as well as a fridge and a small cupboard to lock away any valuables so you don't have to worry about them being left out. I fell asleep to the gentle sounds of the frogs in the rice paddies below and to the surf breaking on the beach.. It was wonderful!! It is also very close to the airport so if you arrive late its a good place to stay for the night like I did. It is a little far to walk to any of the main areas in Sanur (Especially at night as the road is quite dark) so I'd recommend that you use their local driver Agung who speaks great English and is very reliable. Emailing him to organise everything was a breeze!
I will definitely be booking a night or two here again on my next trip to Bali! :) Thank you so much Sarita for such a wonderful experience!!
Nice and cosy place. Friendly host and great breakfast.
Kadek was on holiday when I arrived but had his lovely mother Sarita welcome me. Place is an absolute dream! The pavilion was a magical place to recuperate, pool secluded in a side garden, delightful outside shower, and easy beach access made the location a perfect get away spot. Place is located a short distance from Sanur, only a 10 minute walk along the brick pathway lining the black sand beach. Sarita made wonderful breakfast's and I will cherish the mornings we spent over coffee and mango's.
This was our first night in Bali and was a very nice welcome to an amazing island. It was very helpful that someone was on-hand to answer a call from our taxi driver when they weren't initially able to find the place, and provide directions.
The place itself was cozy and on a very private piece of property. Our room wasn't exactly the one we chose from the site, as renovations were underway, and Kadek was not there to greet us either , but another man greeted us and the room we received instead was nice too.
When we eventually met Sarita, she was very friendly and shared some info on how to get into Sanur. She showed us the way to the beach path and helped us feel safe. There were some lovely friends of hers also staying there and the whole experience felt very much like a family experience. Breakfast was very nice and Sarita even offered to drive us into town with her on her way to the market.
We saw many places during our walk through Sanur that were more resort-like, and we were happy to be avoiding them. Sarita and Kadek's place is off the beaten path and definitely more rustic and homey, so if you're looking for a resort pampering, this is not your place. But if you're looking for a more authentic personal experience, this is a nice place to start. We would stay there again.
I really really recomend here.
So quite. Sweet place.
And kadek and sarita was so nice peolple.
And you can sleep with sound of waves. The beach is just 1 minute from the house.
Thankyou for giving me good memory in there.

Born and raised in Bali until graduating from highschool, I pursued tertiary education in New Zealand and Canada. I'm now living in Bali where I manage my grandfather's homestay. This AirBnB account is created mostly to help my mum (born in NZ, has lived in Bali for over 40 years) get guests for her BnB.
