  • Great people and a great place to stay! Recently rented the Alma Pacific villa and was very pleased with the place. Very close to MA park and beach, clean, comfortable and a nice pool to swim in. Be sure to check out the waterfall a short hike behind the complex ( you can jump off it ).

  • We had a wonderful time at Clark and Paula's Jungle Creek Villas. We rented Alma Pacifica, it was spacious for the 6 people we had in our group (4 adults and 2 children). They were wonderful host, and the resident sloth was awsome to see every day.
The common area was just fine. The pool was just outside our unit and the kids were in the pool by 9:00AM.
We had breakfast in the common area each morning. There were others on the property when we were there, but they did not use the common areas as much as we did. We would have been okay either way.
We also used the BBQ twice and cooked up some wonderful Costa Rican food.
The swimming pool was great, clean, and well maintained. They even had pool toys for the kids.
Located between Quepos and Manuel Antonio, there were a lot of options of places to eat if you did not dine in. In the case of our group, we decided to have most meals at home, but Clark and Paula also gave us some great suggestions of places to eat out (which we did and was a great choice).
I would, hands down, go back and stay with them again.
We also celebrated a birthday on our second day and they were kind enough to pick up a local cake for me, which I had asked and offered to pay for in advance prior to our arrival. When we arrived, the wonderful cake was in the fridge. It was just a nice touch to a very special vacation.
It was great to have a washer and dryer in the unit.

  • I stayed for 2 weeks in Alma Pacifica (3 bedrooms). During the course of the 2 weeks, I had family and friends come for a visit. Everyone loved Jungle Creek! It is very close to beautiful beaches, the pool on the property is awesome, and we were visited daily by all of the animals of the jungle.

The hosts Clark and Paula helped us out with everything we needed. Organizing adventures, transportation, restaurant recommendations, grilling out on the patio, booking massages, and even a Spanish lesson... you name it, and Clark and Paula will help you with it.

Clark and Paula were also very responsive to emails and answered all of my questions while planning for the trip. This was my first time to Costa Rica and over the course of the two weeks, with their help, it quickly became like a second home. I can't wait to return to Jungle Creek and have Pina Coladas in the jungle with my new extended family in Costa Rica!

If you are thinking about a trip, I highly recommend staying at Jungle Creek!

  • Since the beginning, Paula and Clark were incredibly helpful answering our questions in literally no time.

The place in Manuel Antonio is amazing, very cozy and the house was incredibly clean. They provide towels, bathing soaps, has a full kitchen, an amazing swimming pool, and a great outdoor area with a BBQ.

I really don't get when a past reviewer mentions that the outside area was "unpleasant" when occupied by other people - we had no issues at all. Speaking of which, I also don't get the comment about the "worst road" he's ever been...this person has really not been around Costa Rica that much :D

I've stayed in hotels in MA and this was cheaper and way more pleasant. We had the opportunity to talk with Paul and Clark for a while and they are incredible people. I was very happy to hear that they are enjoying their new life in Costa Rica!

I definitely recommend staying here, you seriously can't go wrong!!

  • Clark and Paula our hosts were very helpful with advice and arrangements for daily outings. The unit we stayed in was spacious and relatively comfortable with few issues. The pool, BBQ and outdoor seating was very convenient on one hand, however very unpleasent when occupied by other groups of people. The location of Jungle Creek is such that guests need a vehicle to get around easily. The bus on the main road was great, however you have to walk a fair distance over the worst road surfice I have ever seen. For some reason I thought there would be some housekeeping services such as clean bedding and towels, however this is not part of the deal and possibly should be for the price. All in all we enjoyed our stay but will be trying another place next time.

  • The Thursday night Pina Coladas on the pool deck were such a wonderful end to our day! Paula and Clark were so helpful in arranging tours and gave us such a welcome feeling during our entire stay. They pointed out wildlife passing through the property with morning visits from monkeys and a tempory resident sloth in the tree above the pool. The property is beautiful and so well maintained. Every amenity you could ask for is in the house and they were always willing to suggest restaurants and tours for us to try. We had special discounts with tour operators through them and one of our tours was completely booked and confirmed by Paula. They were by our side through a personal emergency and made us feel like family. Communication was excellent before our visit, they were on the front deck with a warm and friendly welcome when we arrived and bidding us farewell as we left. Thank you again Paula and Clark!

  • Me and my friends and family members had a lot of fun while at Jungle Creek. Paula and Clark are very attentive guests who make you feel at home.

The natural environment, great location and fantastic accommodations makes Jungle Creek an incredible vacation spot.

  • Our three-generation family (ages seven and up) had a great experience staying at Jungle Creek. The houses are a 5m drive from Quepos, and, in the other direction, a 2m drive to a very good grocery store and a 10m drive to Manuel Antonio.

We stayed in the Alma Pacifica house. The kitchen is well-outfitted -- we made all of our own meals -- and faces a deck with a gas grill, a pool, two outdoor eating areas, and more. The rooms were just what we needed, and Paula and Clark were wonderful hosts.

Jungle Creek really is in the jungle, too: on our first morning we were greeted by many monkeys and a sloth, and the creek itself, a 5m walk away, was a regular destination for exciting hikes to see flora, fauna, and several waterfalls.

We really were very happy with our stay -- and it was so much less expensive than the other options we considered. Thanks, Paula and Clark!

About
Hi, we are a Canadian couple living the dream!! We thought of this as a pipe dream that we couldn’t really do....Turns out we can!! After a holiday touring Costa Rica we fell in love with Manuel Antonio and in particular, Jungle Creek! We love the service, attitude and atmospheres created by Jackie (previous Manager) and want to not only continue, but build on for that truly “Home away from Home Vacation” that we experienced and now live!! We both grew up on the prairies in Saskatchewan, Canada and needless to say, we are not going to miss shoveling the sidewalk and scraping the ice off our windsheilds! Together we have 6 children who range in age from 21-33 and also 2 grandchildren. We are very excited for them to come visit us in our new home. We want to welcome all new and past visitors to our beautiful new home in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica!! Pura Vida!
