Our modern guesthouse is a clean, private space filled with natural light. The front gate opens into a private, landscaped courtyard landscaped with jasmine, a Japanese maple tree, rhododendrons, and ferns. We are conveniently located near Mt Tabor Park that has walking trails and a spectacular view of the city. We are also close to several popular neighborhoods with shops, cafés, and restaurants. We welcome people of all backgrounds to stay here and enjoy beautiful Portland.

The space
This is an architect-designed loft-like small house at the end of a cul-de-sac, off the busy street. It is quiet, private, and the many large windows allow natural light to fill the space. You will have your own private courtyard, and minimal interaction with the hosts. There is one bedroom with a queen bed, a loft with a full-sized bed, and a sofa-bed in the living room downstairs.

Other things to note
We can accommodate cars (not trucks) in our driveway right outside the gate that leads to your courtyard and front door, or you can park up on Stark street (approx 100 ft away) that always has free spots available.

Neighborhood highlights

Mt Tabor neighborhood is best known for its beautiful city park, Mt Tabor Park, which is an extinct volcano about a 10-minute walk from here. Walking paths guide you among majestic fir trees, and at the peak of Mt Tabor are panoramic views of the city and water reservoirs. This is a destination for hikers, walkers, bikers, dog-walkers, and birders (Mt Tabor is along the path of many migratory birds). Families with kids enjoy the playground located near the picnic shelters and information office.

A couple of coffee shops are within walking distance of the guesthouse, as are several good restaurants and bars (Tabor Tavern, Caldera, Belmont Station). The Cheese Bar on the corner of SE 60th and Belmont Street, is a nationally recognized cheese counter, and a great place to get a bite to eat and a drink.
