NEWLY REMODELED! The Country-Chic Blue Room is your totally private, quiet, cozy country guest suite with a spa-like luxury bathroom, located just 2 miles from town, across the street from the Mad River and 5 miles from the beach. Cruising up the long drive-way, you'll be welcomed by our mustang, donkeys & goat. We welcome guests of all backgrounds and love making new friends. Having lived on the North Coast for nearly 40 years we're a great resource to make your stay memorable.

The space
The Blue Room suite has its own private entrance and you'll have the entire space to yourself. Recently remodeled (May 2022) we are thrilled to introduce a completely updated experience to new and returning guests alike. You'll love sinking into the new queen-size memory foam bed after soaking with epsom salts by candlelight in the spa tub large enough for two. Or perhaps you'd prefer a rainforest shower, standing on beautiful, flat river rocks. The mini-kitchen includes a microwave, mini-fridge, Keurig coffee maker and tea kettle. We provide complimentary coffee, tea, oatmeal, and popcorn If you happen to be traveling with horses, ask us about short-term boarding. We're also open to hosting well-mannered dogs and cats (please let us know in advance if you are bringing pets with you). We've even hosted bunnies and birds!

Our property is 6.3 acres in a park-like setting. We have gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. We tend to get sun on our property when other areas in town are fogged in. In the summer we can walk you down to our little sandy beach and swimming hole on the Mad River. It's just 2 min. to the town of McKinleyville with groceries, gas, restaurants and The Mill Creek Cinema in case you care to take in a movie. The college town of Arcata is just 5 miles with some great dining, live music and quaint town plaza shopping. There is a delightful Farmer's Market there on Saturdays. The town of Blue Lake is also within 5 miles with bowling, a casino and a tap room a hatchery and river access.
