About this listing
Once an old barn, “Fienile I Cipressi”, recently and completely restored, is a three-storey house: on the ground floor there is a living-room with a fireplace and a kitchen/dining room (equipped with all the modern comforts), as well as a bathroom. On the first floor there are two double bedrooms and a bathroom (with shower and bathtub). On the upper floor there is a studio equipped with two single beds that can be used also as an additional bedroom. Guests will surely enjoy the deck and garden, a paradise for reading and relax. The outdoor area also features a barbecue grill and a dining table to enjoy the outdoors while cooking a typical Tuscan product on the grill.
The house has a tv satellite system featuring all major international channels. The house is also equipped with an internet mobile wifi router, for guests use.
The house is in the middle of vineyards and olive trees. The site is of untouched nature, very panoramic/romantic and charming. Very close to the house (4km, i.e. 5 minutes by car) there are the closest shops and the village of Strada in Chianti. The house is very close to Greve in Chianti (around 14 Km, around 10\15 minutes), Florence (16 Km, 20 minutes by car), and Siena (36 Km, 1\2 hour by car). Close to the house there is a golf course and a public swimming-pool. The neighborhoods offer wonderful walking itineraries and wine tasting experiences. There are some nice market places close to the house: Greve, Panzano, Arezzo with its antiques market.

Going to keep this simple; a special, special place.
Spectacular views, wood-fired BBQ, and silence.
There was some miscommunication upon arrival. Had to wait for one hour. After that, an absolute perfect stay. The "barn" is stunning. Certainty the nicest Airbnb we have seen. We didn't want to leave. The hosts did everything asked of them. This is a country location with access to the sights of Tuscany. No nightlife or party scene that we saw. They even supplied a great bottle of local wine.
Oh wow. This was the perfect Tuscan home for us. We loved that it was only 20-30min from Florence. We booked a few chefs from the city to come out for a cooking class and it was well within their area. The house, view, grounds....all gorgeous. We had no issues with anything while we were there. (The WiFi was a little persnickety, but we got it to work fine.)
Thank you so much Luca for letting us rent your beautiful home. We traveled the countryside by day and came back in the evening to the hammock and a glass of wine while overlooking the vineyards. So wonderful.
This is a dream house, kept with care and love, and you can feel it from the beautiful flowers to the linens. Donatello and Gianfranca are slowly nurturing their future home and they are letting you share it for a while. It has everything you need, even a family of Boars which come to visit every evening. Dozing in the hammock or eating outside while you enjoy the amazing Tuscan views. The best place we could have chosen for our family. We drove every day to a different town and Firenze is just half and hour away. Our kids played every day in the garden while the sun went down. We feel very blessed.
What a lovely place to make our home for a week! It's been beautifully modernized, with a big and amply-supplied kitchen, and the patio in front is a lovely place to catch the sunset. (Just be sure to bring heavy-duty mosquito repellent in the summer!) The location is great: you can do day trips pretty much anywhere in Tuscany (Florence is well under an hour!), yet when you're back home you're in a calm country hideaway. Just one warning for Internet junkies: WiFi is reliable and decently speedy, but it's based on a mobile network with a weekly cap so you can't stream movies or the like.
What a gorgeous property this is! We arrived to a lightly stocked fridge and fresh espressos. The barn is very nicely restored, with a view on the Tuscan countryside. This property is decorated and furnished to perfection in addition to being very clean and tidy. Luca really went out of his way to help make us feel comfortable and provided a full itinerary of nearby attractions, restaurants, and wineries. A highlight was when we cooked with Laura and Gianacarla a full Italian meal with wine pairings and desserts. Wonderful company! We would highly recommend staying here as it truly feels like home and will make your Tuscan vacation authentic.
We had a great stay at the old barn. As the weather was unfortunately a bit rainy and cold when we got there, Donatello had kindly prepared a fire...
The barn is very nicely restored, with a view on the Tuscan countryside. The kitchen has everything you need. It really feels like home.
Luca was also always very quick and responsive when interacting via email.
I definitely recommend if you want to spend a few restful days near Florence.
