This building is an original stone building from the 1800 s it has been carefully renovated keeping the stone interiors where possible but adding modern clean lines.Ideally located in center of town the building has triple glazing windows which makes for a quiet restful stay .
guests have access to a small double room with private en-suite , if you are coeliac or gluten intolerant or have any other allergies please advise me, i can cook meals or organise packed lunches so you will not get sick on your trip..
Interaction with Guests
That depends entirely on the guest !!
this is a great town full of great coffee shops and restaurants and a great Bistro just a few feet away
there is good Irish music and entertainment in the local pubs and plenty places of historic interest to see there is a local tour guide that can be organised to take you around and show you our lovely Listowel
You will laugh a lot and make life long friends its just impossible not to !
My kitchen is my private area unless invited
Een ronduit negatieve ervaring. Gastvrouw reageerde onbeschoft op onze vraag of de verwarming aan mocht (het was 12 graden buiten) en op onze opmerking dat we een haakje in de badkamer misten om iets aan op te hangen.
Felt very welcome, The room and bathroom are really nice, (They are even better in person than in the photos)
We couldn't have asked for a warmer welcome to Listowel! Had a great weekend in Cara's home and she was such a great host, we couldn't recommend staying here highly enough! It was a beautiful apartment - the photos don't capture how tastefully decorated, comfortable and spacious the living area is, and our en-suite bathroom was HUGE! Our bedroom/en suite could be easily accessed from the entrance without going through the living area/kitchen. Having said that, we spent a fair amount of time in the communal areas too, as Cara was so much fun to hang out with! She was really friendly, warm and welcoming, we definitely felt like old friends by the time we were leaving - we were just sorry we were only staying for two nights. Listowel is a typically Irish, charming town too - plenty of lively pubs and friendly locals. If you're visiting the area don't even think about staying anywhere else!!
We arrived quite early and were able to find a parking space nearby. Cara met us outside and showed us to her apartment. The room was clean and spacious with ensuite. The apartment was very central, within walking distance of the nearby pubs and restaurants and very close to the racecourse and castle.
Cara has a lovely home and I felt privileged to share it; tastefully decorated and centrally positioned in the main street in Listowel.
Cara was very welcoming and suggested a seaweed bath at the local beach which was a most interesting experience!
Everything was perfect - the room, linens, luxurious bath, central location - but meeting Cara is the real treat. What a lovely person!
