After formally Accepting her offer - Cara sent me an email asking if I wanted her to keep the room for me, that she had another Request.
This really threw me!
But once we cleared this up, my experience of Cara's place was comfortable. The room is over the Main Street, and there is quite a lot of traffic noise.
Well it is difficult to know where to begin to express my gratitude for such a wonderful airbnb experience with Cara. From the outset communication was impeccable and speedy, very important for me when I spend most of my day on a bicycle and do not have a lot of organisational time. Cara is one of the most wonderful people I have encountered, she is a beautiful person physically, emotionally and spiritually and she is a joy to be in company with. Her abode is simply luxurious, you are not going to get similar quality in many hotels or other establishments you will pay a good deal more money for. Cara took time to look after me as a guest, going above and beyond the requisition of her brief as a host purely because she likes making sure her guest have a memorable experience and she truly cares for people. I only stayed two nights but I felt I belonged in Listowel for that very brief period. This is not an experience you are ever going to get in any hotel, guest house or B&B, I know, I am very well travelled and I can truly say the only way to go is airbnb. Cara thank you so very much for the brief moment out lives crossed, you made my stay in Listowel very memorable indeed.
Cara was instantly welcoming, and made my stay in Listowel the highlight of my time in Ireland. The room was spotless and comfortable to the point of luxury, and Cara was just beyond delightful. Part of me wants to move to this sweet little village just so we can have tea and chat on a regular basis! You couldn't ask for better accommodations, or a more generous host.
Een ronduit negatieve ervaring. Gastvrouw reageerde onbeschoft op onze vraag of de verwarming aan mocht (het was 12 graden buiten) en op onze opmerking dat we een haakje in de badkamer misten om iets aan op te hangen.
We couldn't have asked for a warmer welcome to Listowel! Had a great weekend in Cara's home and she was such a great host, we couldn't recommend staying here highly enough! It was a beautiful apartment - the photos don't capture how tastefully decorated, comfortable and spacious the living area is, and our en-suite bathroom was HUGE! Our bedroom/en suite could be easily accessed from the entrance without going through the living area/kitchen. Having said that, we spent a fair amount of time in the communal areas too, as Cara was so much fun to hang out with! She was really friendly, warm and welcoming, we definitely felt like old friends by the time we were leaving - we were just sorry we were only staying for two nights. Listowel is a typically Irish, charming town too - plenty of lively pubs and friendly locals. If you're visiting the area don't even think about staying anywhere else!!
