Need a place to unwind from busy city life? Look no further! This quaint cabin outside of San Saba sits on the Colorado River in a natural setting, and is a great place for fishing, kayaking, campfires & star-gazing. Enjoy daytrips to the surrounding Hill Country attractions. Visit San Saba's famous pecan shops & San Saba River Golf Course, Lampasas dining & sulphur springs pool, or Colorado Bend State Park (fishing, hiking, biking, caverns, Gorman Falls, & the white bass run Jan-April).

The space
The 870 sq ft of living space is located on the second floor. The unfinished first floor space has a washer & dryer for guest use. A small propane grill is located on the second floor covered deck. DSL internet w/ wifi is provided. TV & DVD player provided, but there is no cable or satellite. Coffee maker, coffee and creamer is provided. A small collection of games is provided (dominoes, cards, Uno, etc). There's even an Emergency Smores Kit! It includes everything you need to make smores, including the marshmallow roasting forks.

Guest access
Guests have access to all 4.5 acres of the property. There is 700 feet of Colorado River frontage. The north end of the property has easy access to the river for launching kayaks and canoes. The south end of the property has a clearing overlooking the river. It's a nice place to relax and watch the river roll by. There are 2 fire rings on the property that can be used if no burn ban is in effect.

Other things to note
Pets are not generally allowed. Please message us to discuss having them stay with you at our cabin.

We are a retired couple from Austin who have been married 51 years. We've recently escaped the hustle and bustle of the city, and moved to the Hill Country. Owning land on the Colorado has been on our bucket list for a long time, and we finally were able to obtain it. This is our first time doing short term rentals. We're learning a lot, but we're excited! We look forward to meeting interesting people and providing a nice place for y'all to stay.
