Other Things to Note
Looking forward to your visit.
You do realize that we drive on the left here (English rules) so driving can be a bit confusing but the speed limit is mostly 40mph so you have time.
In order to rent a car, tourists need to obtain a temporary driving permit. These are available from police stations and car rental agencies to holders of valid driver's licenses.
I would say to really experience the island ride the bus a few times (bus leaves but really need a car.

Hopefully people will understand they are guests in my home and I won't have to come up with a bunch of rules.
It was simply perfect. Aur was not there, but his friend Joe looked so well after me. Invited me for barbeque at his place and took me back to the airport.
The house and room is splendid. Large with walkin clausets and big bathrooms. A lovely living room and kitchen too. About 10 min. walk to the beach and near the policestation (safe) I could not recomend it any higher
Listing description was very accurate.. the atmosphere of the home and the fellow guests could not have been better! Everyone was very respectful of each others feelings.
After some initial confusion concerning reservation, all was made good by Aur who went out of his way to meet our accommodation needs.
Not having the host be in town during our stay did result in some confusion as to who was hosting. I must state however that all of our needs and requests were taken care of in a caring, considerate fashion.
I would recommend this listing and I would stay here again.
Very nice and clean apartment! Aur provided everything we needed and gave us a lot of good tips for visiting the city. We had a great time. Would definitely stay again next time i come to Grand Cayman.
Aur was not in Cayman when we stayed in the room; but the three of us (we managed to squeeze onto 1 bed) were met by the housekeeper Joe when we arrived on 3/26. We appreciated the well-stocked fridge, from which you can help yourself to whatever you want for breakfast - waking up to the smell of freshly-brewed coffee every day (courtesy of Joe) was one of the highlights of our trip. The room was spacious, clean and well-furnished, and the bed is big enough for 3, with the all-important air-conditioning keeping mosquitoes and the heat of Cayman at bay. There are only two cons I can think of: 1) Location - Cayman is sort of shaped like a V, and this house is at one tip of the V, whereas George Town is towards the base of the V and the Eastern Districts are on the other arm of the V. The room is close to the Turtle Farm and Hell (which is tiny, really), but that’s about the only point of interest nearby. 2) There are two rooms in the house up for rent, and you do not get to choose your housemates. But these do not detract majorly from what was a very good deal indeed. Would recommend.
The place is awesome, its a huge house 3bedroom 3 (email hidden)e pictures aur displays doesn't give it justice to big to capture in pictures, everything is very modern and clean...no bugs! Never got to meet aur but his housekeeper joe is pretty cool. Perfect place it leaves you walking distance from westbay beach and bus picks you up on the corner to take you to 7 mile beach! Me and my girlfriend had the whole place to myself.
Joe, the caretaker was there, and was very nice. He brought us food one of the days, and we chatted a lot. He knows a lot about the island and what to do there. He had bikes for us when we visited. The house is fairly clean and the kitchen is updated and has supplies for cooking, although you need to buy your own oil, salt and pepper, etc. The washer wasn't working when we were there, but they were fixing it towards the end of our stay. The room is next to a street, so if you're sensitive to sounds, bring some earplugs for sleeping. it's 15-20 walk to the beach, although to get to the best ones on the island, having a car would be a great benefit. West Bay was a little too quiet for us and we ended up having to go far to entertain ourselves. The bus is frequent on weekdays, but allow yourself time for the weekends, as they do not run as frequently.
Aur's place is great! The bedrooms are spacious and clean, the beds very comfy! And the shared spaces are enormous!
West bay is a lovely place to stay, away from the crowds but close enough with the cheap local buses.
