We stayed 5 nights at this location
When we arrived Suzan was not there because her plane was late but very confident she let us to enter in his house
We found a very nice house perfectly decorated, our room was large, bathroom very clean. When she arrived she told us that we can use her kitchen as needed.
We slept very well and in the morning we met Suzan. She is a very nice person, we liked to discuss with her and cherry over the cake she prepare good breakfasts.
The house is located in a quiet countryside landscape and for us it’s amazing to wake up seeing wild pronghorns or horses in backyard when we opened shades.
Suzan is very helpful, she took in charge our laundry and when we came back after a full day of visit we found everything perfectly installed on hangers.
It was a real pleasure to discuss with Suzan, she suggested driving through a scenic road to visit Yellowstone NP entering by East gate and really it was a wonderful road.
We really loved this location, perfect for taking rest after long trips.
To sum up, we would recommend this place to countryside and quiet lovers.
We had a wonderful night's stay at Susan's cozy home! She is so very inviting and welcoming and couldn't have introduced my German parents any better to why my husband and I love to travel with airbnb. We enjoyed talking to Susan and her enthusiasm to share travel tips for Yellowstone very much. Her house is spotlessly clean, she makes great coffee and breakfast to get you started in the morning, and the two dogs are absolute sweethearts! For a relaxed stay at the end of a dirt road in the middle of Montana I couldn't imagine a better place!
Staying at Susan's was like staying with a good friend! Her home is very comfortable and decorated with beautiful southwestern decor. She got up early and cooked our whole family a delicious and hearty breakfast. The beds were so comfortable, we all slept wonderfully!
The views from the windows were gorgeous. Her home is located off the beaten track, quiet, yet just easily accessible to Yellowstone. She was a pleasure to meet, we had great conversation and she gave us invaluable travel advice!
It was a small adventure to find Sunny J’s Bed, Barn and Breakfast tucked back into the rolling foothills of the Absarokas and Wind River range. The isolation was a welcome diversion from the motels of most western towns. The beauty of the sun setting and the quite coolness made for perfect sleeping conditions.
Susan and her two dogs made me feel welcome right away. The log home is spacious inside decorated in a rustic western style theme. There were three options for sleeping arrangements which were pleasantly unexpected. I found the entire experience to be one that I would highly recommend.
About the Host, Susan
I am a semi retired nurse. My husband passed away 5 years ago and decided to open a bed and breakfast for extra income and keep busy. My home is heated with a wood stove, raise my own chickens that give me fresh eggs, have dogs, cats and horses and ride in the warmer months in the hills or in nearby ranches or public land. Still do a bit of nursing and still find it satisfying.
Opened my B&B three year ago, have found it to be so rewarding. Have met some wonderful people and look forward to this year. Live on 30 acres 30 miles south of Cody in a pretty valley. Come join me for a beverage on the porch at sunset or a star gazing night after sunset.
