The Space

Aspen Creek is located 15 minutes south of downtown Estes Park. The property is on 35 acres, backing to Roosevelt National Forest. The historic Stage Coach Road and 1600' of the Little Thompson River run through the property. Beautiful, quiet hiking is right out your door. Easy access to Estes, but away from it all!

Starting in the spring, Aspen Creek is available as a full-house rental! Reviews before then are from guests renting the master suite and sharing the house with our permanent tenants.

Aspen Creek was originally a small historic cabin which has been enlarged and modernized. The house is now a 1,800 square foot, 3 bedroom, 3 bath home with beautiful views in every direction. You have a deck as well as two very large patios, over 1,500 square feet in outdoor living space! There is a luxurious hot tub outside – and the silhouette of the mountains beneath the stars is magical.

The 35 acres of Aspen Creek is perfect for exploring. From the house, there is a dirt road you can walk to get you down to the Little Thompson River. Fun areas to explore: The River was impacted by the floods of 2013 and looking at the effect is fascinating. There are two large meadows and you can sometimes find elk grazing there. There is also a quiet spot under the trees by the river that is perfect for a picnic. For the very adventurous, you can travel up into Roosevelt National Forest and find Mount Kenny. Be careful – there aren’t maintained paths – which make for wonderful explorations!

A large addition was completed in 2006, which added 3 bedrooms to the original cabin. The addition has in-floor heating to keep your toes warm on cool mountain mornings. All bedrooms have flat screen TVs and ceiling fans.

The master bedroom offers wonderful views and tranquility and has a beautiful wood, king bedroom set. The master suite is expansive with large closets and a private bathroom suite which has a 2-person shower w/ a river-rock floor. There is a large patio slider directly from the master bedroom out to the patio.

The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms each have a Queen bed, a full closet and share a full bathroom.

At the front of the house is your living room with a large 46” flat screen television and plenty of comfy seating. There is a wood burning stove in the corner of the room to keep you warm on chilly nights. There is a patio slider out to the deck from the living room. The couch is complimented by a fantastic lounging chair, leaving plenty of room for everyone.

Aspen Creek has a full stocked kitchen so you don’t need to eat out for every meal. Between the kitchen and the living room is a dining room with seating for 6. This is a perfect location for sharing a bottle of wine, a rousing game of Monopoly, and a few hands of poker (or 'go fish'). The kitchen has every amenity needed for a great vacation. There is plenty of cookware, silverware, bowls and gadgets to ensure cooking is easy. Appliances include a fridge with ice maker, oven and broiler, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, hand mixer, blender, and Keurig coffee maker. There is a gas grill outside.

Down the hall from the kitchen is a full bathroom as well as a den, providing extra room. The den has a large flat screen TV as well as a comfy couch which is a sofa sleeper in case you need extra room. Sleeping arrangements are best suited for up to 8 adults, with up to 6 adults.

We invite you to stay in our vacation home and enjoy the beautiful views, wildlife and mountains that made us fall in love with Colorado ourselves.
Well behaved pets are welcome! When you inquire, please ask for our pet requirements and fees.
