Muireann's Retreat was the perfect place for exploring Dingle Town and the peninsula. Breakfast with Muireann and her family was a highlight of our time in Dingle. Each morning, we woke up to the smell of freshly baked bread and were welcomed to the table with fresh eggs (from their own chickens!) and homemade jams. We had an excellent time chatting with Muireann and her family and they set us up with the perfect plan for our time in Dingle. Thanks to their great suggestions and tips for live music, food, and sights, we found Dingle to be one of our favorite places in Ireland!
What a wonderful stay in Dingle with Danny and his two boys. Danny was a wonderful host, made us tea upon our arrival and a we chatted he marked a map with suggestions of where to eat dinner and hear some music. The weather was nice so my husband and had a pleasant walk to town, Danny even gave us high- vis vest to wear for the walk back in the dark.
The next morning Danny made us coffee and had yogurt, muesli, homemade marmalade, jam, muffins and bread for our breakfast. Yes, all homemade! Muireann has a cooking school in town. If we had stayed longer, it would have been lovely to take a class.
Really wonderful people and home, we highly recommend staying with Danny and his family.
Our experience with Muireanne and her family was phenomenal. They need to start a B&B...in fact, that's pretty much what you'll get here. We got homemade bread and jam and farm fresh eggs every day for breakfast...not to mention coffee and/or tea!
Not only was the room and private bathroom excellent, but the house is really great too. We had such a great night hanging out in the kitchen with Muireanne and her husband having a couple beers and talking about music. Super down to earth and fun, amazing people.
Perfect place to stay in Dingle. Don't stay anywhere else!
Muireann her husband, and childern were wonderful. They opened their home to me and Tim. We felt so comfortable from the moment we stepped through the door. I wished we had been able to stay more than one night and I would recommend staying with them and on the peninsula for as much time as possilbe. The room and bathroom were clean and bright. They gave us great food and pub recommendations.
Muireann and Danny are ideal hosts - genuinely nice people but also professionals in the hospitality business. Their home is modern and very clean & functional. They are both very helpful and lovely to talk to. It is a fair trek to walk into town but feasible. Staying in their home was a delight from the moment we walked in.
Muireann and her family were among our very favorite hosts. Muireann went out of her way to make us feel at home, and fed us a wonderful breakfast that was entirely made from scratch--I loved the muffins in particular! The room and Muirann's home was comfortable, beautiful and centrally located, and her children (and pup) are a delight! I would stay here again and again!
