I have opened my own home to visitors for 6 years, and for 20 years at my family home which is seconds away, so hosting is in my blood. We understand how important it is to have a sense of your own space to relax in and a home away from home and our place is just that. We are a friendly young couple with a great sense of adventure, we enjoy discovering new things and places in London daily. Being a creative chef at #MEATliquor and interior designer we like to stay creative and tuned in to all the city has to offer and we love finding inspiration in new places, be they restaurants, vintage or design shops or underground events. We invite you to make yourself at home and ask us for any advice or anything that you need to get the most out of your trip.
Please do check out our other listings for bigger groups. Happy Travelling!
Living room, full kitchen, washing machine, wifi, the entire place is dedicated to airbnb guests and there is a huge picnic park with playground right outside.
We stay in the apartment next door so we are on hand when you need us and can give you space when you just want to relax in your own company. You basically have free run of the place. We will greet you and pop up to see how your day was and are right there if you need any tour guide info!
We love our neighbourhood which has a real local feel. Vibrant and dynamic, friendly and hip. Brixton Village is the hang out spot that Londoners flock too and tourists are cottoning on fast too! With vintage shops, market stalls, cake shops and small restaurants and boutique bars its adorably charming!
Free street parking outside, this is gold dust! Super convenient fast tube getting you to Victoria in 12mins or Oxford Circus in 15mins. We also have 8 bus lines to ever sight and attraction possible literally at the end of the street. Also between 3 train lines and loads to do locally on foot
London is big, thankfully with the tube and transport network nothing is more then a jump on a bus or tube away (rush hour on affects road travel mostly). It is best discovered on foot with a travelcard over driving. The pavements are hard so pack some comfy shoes.
London is divided into 6 concentric zones with zone1 being the heart of town with more historic sights then residential places and zone 6 being suburbia. We are in zone 2 which is highly central by the London standard.
We loved the flat and had a great time with both Miranda and her mother! There are very frequent bus services that run just 5 minutes from the house and there is great food to be found in Brixton itself. The flat is comfortable and stylish and we really felt at home there.
I came to London for the first time to this huge city, but when I landed at Miranda's home, I felt like I was home. The stay there was the most pleasant stay I could possibly ask for, whether it be my first time visiting or multiple times after. Each morning, I would wake up from the comfortable bed and see the sun shining through the windows, with the sounds of the kids playing outside. I tell you, I was at total peace there. Anyways, Miranda is an awesome host. She gave me all of the info I needed to get around and the rules for coming and going were perfect and easy going as well. I would definitely stay at Miranda's place again if the chance arises. If you are looking for a relaxing atmosphere, in an eclectic neighborhood, with easy transport to all parts of London, accompanied with a great host, check out Miranda's spot, you wont be disappointed
We enjoyed our one-night stay in Brixton in the b&b hosted by Miranda. Miranda welcomed us warmly and provided a little tour of our room, the living room, kitchen, and the bath room. Miranda’s b&b is situated in a vibrant and diverse neighborhood. It is easy to find and reach through public transport with nearby bus stops. Visits to Brixton Village and the O2 Brixton Academy are highly recommendable. We had a good time and truly felt like London ‘locals’ during our short stay.
The reservation was canceled 8 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Two thumbs up. Very nice flat, clean and airy!
Miranda is easily one of the warmest and caring hosts you can meet. She was around to offer tips on transport in/around London and was very attentive to anything I needed during the stay (including offering medicine's when she realized I am not feeling too well).
The room itself is bright and spacious. The bathroom next door to the room is also very clean and spacious with a good shower. The closest bus-stop is 150m from her place from where you could get buses (1-2 buses every minute) to Brixton underground station (Victoria line) which is 5-8min bus-ride.
Overall had a good and comfortable stay at Miranda's place and wouldnt hesitate to come back here on my next trip.
We had a lovely stay at Miranda's it was so nice sleeping in the "Zen room" the bed was simply amazing! It was wonderful meeting and sharing some time with Miranda's little family. The area has some wonderful food spots and the Brixton Village market is a "must do" the food and goods were simply fabulous. We would highly recommend this accommodation.
What a gorgeous house and family! Miranda, Bates and beautiful Mila (8 month old) welcomed us into their delightful house. Approx 25min walk from Brixton station and very accessible bus links directly to the area where house is located. Miranda couldnt have been nicer and made us feel at home. The bigger and more luxurious Zen room was free when we arrived so Miranda had this ready for us at no extra cost! Basically had the bathroom and house to ourselves as both Miranda and Bates were working on the second day. My first proper experience with AirBnb and Id definitely use it again. Thanks Miranda!
upon booking the room miranda send me an information pack that included anything i might've need to know about where i am staying including very clear info on how to get there! very easy to follow even for someone as easily confused as myself
Miranda and Bates home is beautiful, the blue room was spotless and felt very homely, the bed is comfortable and i slept well despite my caffeine fix before bedtime. i think i might've had solo use of one of the baths which was like the rest of the house clean.
I didn't see much of the hosts as I was only there for two nights and they were busy preparing for a flight but when I did I found them a warm and welcoming beautiful young family who were happy to help but gave my plenty of privacy and space..
in short my stay was perfect anbd I wouldn't change a thing about my stay, the place and the hosts.
would I recommend this place to family and friends and just about anyone who wants a lovely home in london while they discover the city?? 100%
it was a very beautiful room, very nice people!
We felt like being home in your house.
Thank you very much...
