You will sleep in a private room.
Old and traditional Lao style wooden house located just two blocks from the city center of Vientiane.
The accommodation is spacious, the room is simple and clean, bathroom and toilet also.
KING size bed and luxury mattresses very comfy allows you to rest and enjoy your days.
I installed mosquito nets on every windows of the house: the amount of mosquito is very limited.
The shared shower is equipped with hot water.
There is no kitchen because it’s better to eating out to taste the local dishes and it is much cheaper to eat every day outside !
You will stay in a secure room with your personal key so you can enter and leave any time you want.
This room has :
- A bed (180x200cm).
- A 2-door wardrobe to store your belongings.
- A shelf to store your clothes.
- A modern air conditioner with remote control.
- An extension cord with multiple outlets.
- Two locks on the bedroom door.
I do not recommend eating and drink inside the room (except water of course) because of the ants, in Laos those are red ants, they quickly invade your bed and bite ! I invite you to enjoy the ground floor : there are tables, chairs and even a sofa.
You will have access to the whole house as well as equipment.
I have a TV but no cable : you can take your USB stick and watch movies and series on a big screen :)
I provided bed sheet, shampoo, soap and toilet paper.
Interaction with Guests
I live in the house but I work also so thank you to respect the schedules of check-in / check-out.
We can always communicate by Airbnb messenger if you need some information, and of course when I get home too.
You will be in the city center of Vientiane : close to all amenities.
Whether for sightseeing or to dinning, you will have access to all even by foot, you will not even need to pay a Tuktuk, or rent a motorcycle !
If you still want to take a Tuktuk you find in the street 30 seconds from home.
This is also the same place that you can get tickets for transport Vang Vieng for example. For those who go to Luang Prabang there is even a shuttle that picks you directly.
In Laos the streets have no address (only main road), it will be necessary to follow the instructions that will be in your confirmation by mail once the reservation is confirmed. It’s very important because i work also and maybe I couldn’t answer you quickly.
Other Things to Note
For your safety here in Laos and mine every booking must be by AIRBNB. If you want to stay a few extra days, you must modify your booking by yourself on the website.
For reservations of 7 nights or more, you will get a 10% discount on your stay.
I have two rooms so I can accommodate up to 4 people simultaneously.
No shoes inside the house.
No towels provided because of the very low price charged.
The check-out is before 12pm. The check-in must be from 2pm. I do not accept anyone in the morning and in the night : I work.
I just ask you to give me your arrival time then I can organize myself and welcome you for the keys in a better way.
Everything was as pictured. The place is practically adjacent to the downtown tourist area. Everywhere is walkable if you're patient. (I always have trouble with the tuktuks. No joke.) Anyway, I felt antisocial because I was quite busy with work and paperwork, but the host is very nice.
we spent 2 nights at Santi's place. We spent an additional one since it was that good :). We were lucky to visit him during his vacation. We had much time to have lunch together, almost all of our stay. The best way to get to know the local food and the cultural habits. He has it in the blood...
His house is very close to the tourist centre, restaurants and shopping locations.
Singsanti's house is very well located in Vinetiane city centre. The room is clean and big. Singsanti is a great host. He made us discover good Lao restaurants and bars. This is the kind of Air BnB place where you want to stay.
Wonderful host! Everything was very clean, the location was superb. Singsanti took us out and joined us for breakfast. A really nice guy who makes us feel welcome. His English is very good and very helpful with advice.
We highly recommend staying at Singsanti's place!
Thank you for making our stay perfect :)
Place is as described the owner is pleasant although we chatted briefly he answered all of our questions. Bed was super comfortable and clean. Thanks for your hospitality
This is not a homestay . We booked for 2 nights but we only stayed for 1 night. Never again!
There is no private bathroom., very very noisy! I had the feeling the scooters drived trough our bedroom at night. the only positieve thing is the A/C.
1/ It's homestay that's why there is one shared bathroom like most houses moreover it's writed in the ad !
2/ "Homestay in downtown" means in the city center then you have noise and it's an old house in wood (just read the title) : the insulation is not perfect.
3/ I'm the cheapest in all Vientiane, i'm not a five star hotel.

In a strong AIRBNB experience in France (80 journeys/year) and Laos also (200 journeys/year) I know how to welcome and receive my guests.
I'm Lao but born in France : I just moved from Lyon (october 2013) to settle in Laos and I have always appreciated the support and meet people, I wanted to repeat that experience of host. This is why I subscribe for the second time on AIRBNB.
If one day you go through Lyon - France, feel free to go to my apartment.
Sleeping in a house of a guest is all about sharing a moment with a local and especially the opportunity to discover and appreciate the culture of a country more authentically. Rather than going to the hotel, book a homestay with Airbnb makes traveling cheaper while giving a new dimension to your holidays a differrent way than the usual tourism. It offers valuable advice and recommendations guests to visit unusual places but we also have the opportunity to discover places that you would not suspect during a classical tour.
I look forwarding you at my home :)
