I am so blessed to live in my home that is near the largest park in the city of Seattle. There are awe inspiring views of Puget Sound that I can walk to. I can also walk to Ballard over the Locks. There are many mornings I can smell the salt water from my back yard.
And it is pretty cool that you can do that too!
This is a great venue for singles or couples on vacation!
Private clean room in this artistic home. It is located in the Magnolia neighborhood near Discovery Park! The Serene room is located in the heated basement of the house. There are many windows to draw open the shades & open the windows, that allow it to become light-filled! A Vintage armoire to house your items, with clean sheets and multiple pillows to rest your head! The bed is super comfy, along with a full size desk!
The bathroom on the main level of the house is shared, but it is perfect to shower with amenities such as shampoo & toothpaste, and a clean fluffy towel!
The cottage has a front deck that is basked in sunlight later in the day, and a back courtyard garden that is wonderful to sit and relish your coffee in the morning.
Free high speed internet and wifi and on street parking too!!
You are hosted by Cheryl the owner!!
Enjoy the full comforts of home with the use of the kitchen, while being welcomed by my dog Jackx & my kitty Bobbin.
We are one block from the biggest park (Discovery) in the city of Seattle, where you can even walk down to the beach if desired! And we happen to be located near the Ballard Locks where you can see fish making their way back home to their own stream, and walk over to Ballard. Ballard is a wonderful neighborhood with a to-die-for farmers market on Sundays (25 minute walk), I totally recommend the oven-fired pizza or a hotdog from the market vendors.
Magnolia is a great community with awesome restaurants (greek, german, italian, japanese, american) stores and salons. I love Vixen which has the cutest clothing at great prices, and a spa to rejuvenate yourself in!! WE also have a great organic grocery (5 minute walk).
You can take the 33 or the 24 bus to downtown Seattle in 20 minutes, or drive in 5-10 minutes!
Some travel details:
from the airport, SeaTac, you can take the Lite Rail for about $2.50 for a 30-40 minute ride to downtown Seattle. We recommend a cab from there, as it will only be about $10 and a bit easier than the city bus if you have luggage. The cab driver will need directions, whether he thinks he does or not! Once you book, we supply you with all the details for a smooth arrival!
Our closest Seattle Metro bus lines are #24 and #33.
Guests can use the kitchen until 9.30pm.
Laundry is available for $5 a load, with detergent & dryer sheet provided.
Interaction with guests
I like to give the guests their space. And they can come to me with any questions at any time.
Sometimes we share a meal too if it works for everyone!

I hope you get a chance to discover Discovery Park, the largest park in Seattle where you can walk to the water or to the look-out over the bluff. Pike's Place Market is not to be missed along with Seattle Art Museum, Gas Works Park, Kayaking in the Arboretum, & the chance to day-trip to small towns along the coast.
Just remember that "Life" is what we choose to make of it!!
