About this listing
Set on three floors, this petite 1 bed maison will not disappoint. Fully furnished, with all the mod cons and set in the heart of the beautiful village of Pouzolles, kitchen/diner, utility and shower room plus bikes to use. Surrounded by the most stunning countryside, come and visit.
This house is built into the walls of the village - it has exposed walls and beams and is next door to the Chateau. Please mind your head when coming up the first flight of stairs as its a bit narrow.
DVD but no TV, wifi (login is on table in the kitchen) you can use the outside space for dinner, table and chairs are on the ground floor.
Very quiet village and my neighbour, Stig, is very friendly, the village is beautiful, and if you like to bike ride, swim in rivers or hiking, amazing food and excellent wine, well there isn't anywhere better to go than the Languedoc. There is a village party every Friday night from July - August where you get a three course meal and watch some wonderful dancing.
There is a local bus which comes twice a day. There is a train station in Magalas about 5kms away. Please check the timetable though as they are not very frequent. Who needs public transport when you can ride a bike everywhere..
Other Things to Note
Pouzolles is about 25km north of Bezier, and about 10kms from Pezenas, the airport, Cap D'Agde, is about 10km south of Bezier and there is a local bus when you arrive that will bring you to Bezier. There are plenty of places to visit and the Basin du Thau are about 40km away.
enjoy the excellent local sea food, wine and sunshine. Sorry this property will not suit families with children under the age of 7 due to steep stairs and no doors or gates and no pets allowed. Strictly no smoking inside the house but you can go outside if you must.
The bins are outside the house, one for general rubbish needs to be put in the bin with the black lid, and the other for recycling, yellow lid. The general bin is collected on Tuesday morning so please take the bin out on Monday night, they do come very early on Tuesday. For recycling which is virtually everything apart from glass, please use Stigs bin, he puts it out once it is full. you do need to take the bin to the very bottom of the chateau, opposite the cafe, there is a yellow sign written on the ground, please can you recollect the bin afterwards and leave it outside the house.
Excellent séjour passé chez Ingrid ! Nous avons été ravis par le lieu, une belle petite maison de village bien agencée et très cosy. Elle correspond tout à fait aux photos et à la description de notre hôte.
Nous renouvellerions volontiers cette expérience !
Met by the neighbour stig. With his dog Stella out the front of his house as described. The house is in a tiny lane and looks ancient and wonderful. The inside has been renovated and is lovely. Three rooms on top of each other . Watched the locals play bocce in the park at night. A memorable and lovely stay
Ingrid's house is tiny but lovely - a great little base for travelling around a wonderful district. We were there in a heatwave and deeply grateful for the air con unit in the top floor bedroom. Everything was as promised - our only problem was some difficulty in picking up the key as had been arranged, but we got it sorted and Ingrid was highly responsive to our situation. We wished we could have stayed longer.
Everything went really well from the first communication with Ingrid on to Stig the kind and helpful neighbour who showed me the facilities in the house and gave tips about what not to miss in this area. I was lucky to experience the great market on saturday in Pezenas and on sunday the huge antique market which happens two times a year. It is a charming french house, where everything worked really well and everything was according to the fine description of the house. Parking no problem at all and Pouzolles is a good hub for exploring the beautiful area eg. the mountains or going to the sea. No hesitation to recommend Ingrid's Bijou-house and the fast and easy communication I really appreciated and is always a big plus. I enjoyed my stay very much. Warm greetings, Karin
