The space
Perfectly located up a sweet cobbled side street, in the heart of Burgau, 'Casa Lisa' invites you to instantly become a part of village life. Just 70 metres from Burgau's stunning bay & 15 meters from it's 'square' it is also ideally situated. With quirky, open plan living area including a double sofa (bed), dining area for 4, large flat screen TV, main UK channels & DVD player and a breakfast bar leading through to the open plan, sociable kitchen. This property has a wood burning stove, essential for cosy winter evenings (we provide a large sack of logs and kindling per rental)

The kitchen is fully stocked for easy self catering, and comprises a large fridge freezer, cooker and hob, microwave, kettle, coffee pod machine,washing machine & all crockery etc.

The double bedroom contains fitted wardrobes & a chest of draws so you may pack HEAVY if you wish ;) Super comfortable double bed, fan provided in summer or a heater, spare blankets & slippers in winter. Hair dryer and hair straighteners present.

Shaded mini terraces to the front & rear of this property are maximised to allow barbecuing and dining al fresco, even in the height of summer. An outdoor storage space houses many beach toys and props, masks, snorkels, body boards etc - all are for guests use.

A spacious 5 piece bathroom, with shower, bath, toilet, sink & bidet. We provide beach & house towels for each guests, and each 7 nights a full change over of these and bedding is provided.

We have the fastest possible fiber internet runs throughout the property (500mbps) perfect for working holidays and digital nomads. With laptop working space - either at the breakfast bar or dining table, means you will have to find a new excuse to miss your working holiday deadlines!

This apartment is fully stocked to the smallest detail to allow your family to feel at home instantly and make the most of your time in Burgau... Upon arrival you will be greeted with a taste of Portugal - A bottle of the typical Portuguese green wine, and the famous sardine pate, in addition to teas and coffees for arrival drinks. There is a welcome information pack crammed with recommendations on what to see/do and where to eat/drink... & leaflets on everything the whole area has to offer so you don't miss a thing (unless you wish to) The house is stacked with DVD's, CD's, books, games, beach equipment, adaptors, battery chargers etc to help you be at home instantly.

To provide maximum flexibility to families there is 'extra beds' available at the property on request. The sofa in the living room can be made into a spacious double bed. We can also provide a travel cot and bedding on request at no extra cost. Just ask what would suit your family best.

This property is one of the licensed guest homes in Burgau - No 6710/AL which means not only does it confirm to all required standards but also is one that contributes to the local economy.

Burgau is ideally situated to explore the best the Western Algarve has to offer.. 12km to Lagos, 5km to Praia Da Luz, 22km to Sagres.
Every conceivable activity is on offer here and I can help you book if you require... SUP, surf, kayak, boat trips, fishing, diving, mountain biking, walking, jeep tours, water parks, zoo's, museums, jet ski's, water ski-ing, dolphin watching, tree zip lines, cookery classes, yoga, yoga on a paddle board(!), carnival, chocolate making classes, chanting, flea markets, mini festivals, live music, winery tours, communal barbecue areas, spearfishing, bird watching.. and on...just ask, I'm certain to know where to start...

The old fishing village of Burgau comprises of a series of white faceted cottages prettily tumbling down the hillside toward a secluded, idyllic bay. Turquoise, clear waters gently lap the white sandy beach below a rocky hillside. Sheltered either side by rugged, high rock faces, the Atlantic here is often calm and always inviting.
Burgau is that rare phenomenon - a contented marriage of old & new, which perhaps goes some way to explaining why it feels so special.. Paradoxically on one hand retaining all the charm of an authentic fishing village and on the other being home to a small, grateful influx of visitors, old and young, and all the facilities that bring with it.
The cheerfully coloured fishing boats rest on the light sand awaiting their next fishing expedition. In the kitchens of the nearby restaurants, the freshly prepared fish is plated up for hungry tourists, who come to enjoy the typical regional cuisine whilst gazing across beauty of the bay, perhaps watching a pod of dolphins, or occasional a whale or two. The broad expanse of sand is enough for all who come here to relax, soak up the sun and swim... but come sundown its time to relocate to one of the laid back beach bars for cocktails and live music sessions.

Praia do Burgau beach spreads along the south-western coast of the Algarve and is situated 12 kilometres from Lagos, 22km to Sagres (end of the world), 5km to Praia Da Luz & Salema - both make easy, wonderful sea cliff walks starting from close to the apartment

A note re Coronavirus - I am striving to take every extra precaution, including following updated disinfecting advise and allowing an extended period between guests for extra security. Please also do your part and book if you think travel restrictiosn will allow you to come as filling up weeks and then cancelling will prevent owners from finding any real bookings that could possibly sustain them and their families/mortgages during this extremely testing period... we do hope you can make it to stay with us!
