We are ideally based to make the most of the facilities of the traditional Lakeland market town of Kendal which also provides an ideal location for exploring the beauty of the Lake District and surrounding areas.
Use our private parking and take the five minute stroll into Kendal town centre where a wealth of shops, restaurants and pubs await.
Airethwaite House is a short 15 minute walk (0.8 miles) from Kendal train station. Oxenholme train station is 3.4 miles away. Direct trains travel from Manchester airport to Oxenholme where you can then catch a train into Kendal.
Kendal bus station is a 10 minute walk (0.5 miles) to travel around the lakes.
Unfortunately we are unable to cater for children and pets. This is a non smoking premises.
Lovely apartment in Kendal, great hosts - provided everything needed and more, including a lovely gift upon arrival! Would recommend and stay again. Thanks for the lift to the station!
A lovely clean and modern apartment in a lovely location. Thank you for welcome snacks, thoroughly enjoyed the stay!
The flat was lovely, clean and modern with everything provided. it was a short walk from Kendal, a very nice town. There are stone steps down to the flat, so it may not be suitable for the less-agile. The hosts were very kind and helpful, they left milk and some other foods, and gave advice about how to get to places and parking. i enjoyed some good walks and visited Sizergh castle (NT) which was beautiful and interesting. You could stay in the flat at any time of year.
What a fabulous little place! This apartment is adorable, it's the perfect spot to have as a base if you are meandering into town and equally very cosy if you're having a night in. Hosts are very welcoming - even coming to find us when we over shot the address slightly and giving us restaurant suggestions for a birthday dinner!
Thank you both so much we really enjoyed our stay!
We had a lovely stay in the apartment and the hosts were very welcoming and friendly. The apartment was as described and in close proximity to Kendal.
Kendal is a bit remote from the central Lake District.Chris and Sandra gave a very detailed brief the day of my arrival which makes the whole journey easier. The house is beautiful, well equipped and clean, the only regret is the internet connection so I have to asked many questions in the trip-thanks for Chris patience. It will be event more great if we can stay on the upper level of the house especially during raining season.
Really nice flat and great location. Really nice biscuits too :-) would definitely stay again.
