Interaction with Guests
I have a busy lifestyle. I love to interact with my guest with a cup of tea if our schedule permits us.
My flat is located near the Pink Line in the center of the Pilsen artist district. The neighborhood has a vibrant Hispanic community and is full of galleries, artist studios, and unique murals. Within walking distance of my apartment are great restaurants, grocery stores, taquerías, bars, and a large selection of vintage fashion shops. The National Museum of Mexican Art and the Chicago Arts District are also close by. An open studio and gallery walk event takes place on the second Friday of each month and draws hundreds of people to the neighborhood to check out the art and nightlife. Pilsen is a pedestrian and bicycle friendly neighborhood. I find it to be very safe, but of course we are in a city and it is always good to be mindful of your surroundings when walking alone.
The bus #60, it's a 2 minute walk to it. It takes 20-30 minutes to the Chicago Cultural Center (tourist office) depending on traffic. OR, walk to the pink line train (metro) my stop is called 18th Street

This is a really nice apartment in the neighborhood of Pilsen. Pilsen is my favorite neighborhood in Chicago. It's a quite neighborhood. Lots of artwork and amazing Mexican restaurants. Nicole's home reflects the neighborhood peaceful and tastefully adorned with artwork. She is definitely an Airbnb pro, that has thought out the details of making sure everything will go smoothly. The beds are also larger than they appear in the picture imo.
Nicole was very nice and kind. She made me feel like staying at my own home. The experience was great and I will definitely choose to stay there again if I have a chance to go to Chicago again.
First-rate experience. I chose this place over other Pilsen options because of the excellent reviews, and was not disappointed. Nicole keeps the place extremely clean, and is a very friendly and courteous host. She was available for any assistance I needed, but was also quiet and respectful when I needed alone time to rest between visiting friends and attending events around the city. The location is perfect for walking to all of the best Pilsen restaurants, cafés, shops, and bars, as well as catching the Pink Line or bus to get around the city easily. I highly recommend.
Nicole is a very meticulous person and maintains a very neat and clean place. As she is busy and usually not at home, she likes to communicate via text messages and is usually responsive. I had a nice stay and could attend my local meetings.
Nicole was very accommodating, provided ample information about the area, offered to pick me up from the train station, and left her bikeshare key for use. Communication was clear and fast. Thanks, Nicole!
Room was exactly as pictured, and very clean. Nicole wasn't in town when I visited but provided an easy early check-in process and also a late checkout as well, which worked perfectly for my schedule. Nicole contacted me a number of times, making sure I had everything I needed. Great location, especially to experience a part of Chicago that isn't just downtown. Super Mexican restaurants in Pilsen, definitely checkout the Mexican bakeries, I did...more than once! Short walk to the train as well got me anywhere in the city I wanted to go. Nicole, thanks again for the nice accommodations.
In January it's pretty cold in Chicago, so my room was heated when i arrived and teabags were ready for some tea. The apartment is close to the center and in the Mexican neighborhood, but i didn't feel unsecure at any second. You will find some nice Mexican food places in the near, i liked the La Catrina Cafe the most. You can get there Matcha Latte with rice milk. The apartment was clean and Nicole responded fast to my messages. I can recommend Nicole and her apartment!
