Pondok Langon is first and foremost our home. It's unique village setting and tranquil surrounds means that it works for people who are looking for a place to relax and unwind. Think rice-paddy walks, slow village life and sunsets on the balcony listening to the frog songs and overlooking the emerald-green surrounds. We seek guests who are respectful of our family compound and are keen to share life in the slower lane for a time.
Our home does not work for party-goers and all-night-longers.
There is no smoking allowed in any of the enclosed rooms on the property.
No food or drinks (other than water) allowed in the bedrooms. Waste is to be recycled in the bins provided. The property is equipped with shopping bags which we urge guests to use when shopping to avoid single-use plastic bags and help reduce Bali's huge plastic waste problem.
Breakfast is served between 8am and 9am each morning. An earlier or later breakfast can be arranged up until 11am, after which the kitchen is closed. If dining in, dinner must be ordered by 9am.
We have an enjoyable quiet stay with my 1 year old child. It feels at home with great breakfast. The staff also helped us to order dinner on one night and cooked dinner for us on another night for small extra charge.
The staff are warm and helpful. My child loves to play with the dogs especially Polly. We also enjoy the pool just in front of the house.
We have quite an experience while sleeping. We are woken up in the middle of the night by the cat who entered our room and woken up my child. We have to wake up Alex twice to ask her to take the cat away before we can settle back to sleep. Guess it doesn't help as I'm a little scare of cat.
We wish the staff is more forthcoming in telling us what is available for us to use. We are not sure if we can get tea or coffee after breakfast. We also got our clothes stained by the wood in the bathroom.
Thanks for having us and it's an enjoyable break from the hustle and bustle of the city.
We love our stay at Alex and Yoga's house. They have a beautiful house made from Ulin wood which most of them are recycled, very environment-friendly. The location in Lod Tunduh Village near Ubud surrounded by rice fields.
Unfortunately, when we got there the rice plants has just been harvested, so we couldn't be able to see the yellowish green fields around us. The place is so peaceful and serene. At night, it's so quiet you can hear the crickets and the frogs. It's a perfect place for getaway. And if you're fortunate enough you can see stars through the clear night sky.
Alex was an excellent host, she made us a very delicious Frittata and a very good coffee for breakfast at Nyepi day since her staff took a day off and we can't go anywhere.
Anyway, it's been a nice holiday and i'm looking forward for the next visit.
Alex, Yoga, and their family were absolutely wonderful. They're the nicest people and have really managed to build themselves a paradise in Bali. Definitely one of the best places I have ever stayed!!!
The villa was ready when we arrived. It was late in the evening.
It was quiet and peaceful. No locks was needed on our villa.
It is all wooden and antique.
It is like our own villa.
Nice breakfast in the morning.
In the afternoon we can enjoy tea and have a nice chat on the second floor patio.
The swimming pool is nicely done. Small but can have several laps.
If you want a quiet, eclectic place to stay tranquil villa will suit your needs.
Nice villa. Stunning view.
I recommend for those you like nature.
Nevertheless from my experience I would recommend not to choose this villa during raining season. Could be a bit cold and very humid at night during heavy rain.
I absolutely loved Alex and Yoga's home. It was beautifully built and had so much charm. You can tell a lot of love went into creating it. Hosts and staff were welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Thank you!
