100% of recent guests gave the check-in process a 5-star rating.
Your getaway includes a delicious, ethical and locally grown breakfast hamper. Explore wineries , heritage pubs, divine cake shops and tapas bars. Our home is located in the heart of the South Burnett so easy access!
Why not nurture yourself with an Ayurvedic Massage during your stay at the retreat? I am a qualified therapist in Ayurvedic treatments, PM me for pricing/availability.
We love slow living and connecting people with food and conversation and hope our home inspires you to let go.

The space
Whether you need a well deserved break, the space to reconnect with family or a long overdue catch up with friends, however you found yourself here, I'm glad you did. We love connecting people with food and conversation. The feeling you get from creating something in the kitchen from scratch is hard to describe. For me, listening to your favorite humans chat and laugh around the table fills my cup and makes my heart grow a little bigger.
We want you to be able to truely experience our region.
We have some amazing produce growing in our region and can fill your fridge with a spray free veggie box or ethically grown, pork, chicken and eggs. Not to mention stocking you up with local wines and nibbles.
Just PM me for prices and availability.
Our home has 4 bedrooms, open plan living and a north facing aspect which overlooks Lake Barambah.
The large front deck is perfect for those early mornings with a cup of tea or a sneaky sundowner @ 5.
The spacious rear deck has quiet sitting areas to escape to and a large dining table for entertaining. The deck flows onto a large back yard with a fire pit to sit around and watch the bush tele or try your hand at camp oven cooking. If you haven't tried cooking with a camp oven before but would like to try, I am available to help out.PM me for availability* Fire restrictions permitting*
The kitchen
Has everything you need to unleash your culinary skills and create some memories around the dining table. We have a pasta maker , a smoker for the low and slow lovers , bamboo steamers just to mention a few. Although you wont find a dishwasher or microwave here. We believe in slow living and a great opportunity to connect with people around you. We haven't used a microwave in 15 years and find that reheating leftovers or heating a bottle don't take much longer. We suggest to be prepared in advance. As our retreat is a 24km drive to the nearest shop , we have chosen to leave our pantry items in the house just incase you have forgotten something. There is nothing worst than being in the middle of cooking and realise you haven’t got something !
We are also trying to do our best for the planet by reducing the amount of waste we put into our bins. Whilst we know some rubbish cannot be avoided, we have placed recycle bins out the front that are clearly labeled to help us on this quest.
There is a small herb and veggie garden out the laundry door for you to enjoy as well !
Living area
A cosy space with open fire place for those cold winter nights with a glass of red. This space also has air con for your comfort in the hotter months of summer. We hope to inspire you to pack your devices away for your stay with us, there are plenty of books to read, dvd's for those movie marathons or games, puzzles. Monopoly has been well played and has been known to be played for days! Not to mention the record play for you to listen to good old music, a guitar or bongo d.rums for you to sit around the fire our on the front deck and punch out your own tune
Bedroom 1
Has a comfy king bed and adjoining en suite and opens up onto the rear deck to catch the early morning sun or a breeze in the afternoons .
Bedroom 2 & 3
Both rooms have comfy King beds that can be changed to twin share upon request. These rooms are perfect in winter as they capture the afternoon sun
Bedroom 4
This room has a queen bed and access to a shared bathroom and the rear deck. There are 2 swagman chairs for you to enjoy a book or and afternoon snooze.
Main bathroom
The bathroom has a large bath that has windows opening onto the back deck. Perfect for an evening glass of bubbles and the stars. Best to have minimal lighting unless you want to share the experience with a million bugs! You can see the stars best this way too.
All rooms have ceiling fans for your comfort
You will notice around the house there will be essential oil sprays and candles for you to use and enjoy while staying with us. We hope this will help you to relax and unwind a little easier. If you fall in love with any of the products on your stay, these can easily be packaged into your very own Digital Detox Box inspiring you to continue the experience at home.
