  • I had a great time with Tim and with his other guests. The accommodations were exactly as promised and I had some wonderful conversation with folks I met there.

Yes, the surrounding area is a bit run-down, but the street the house is on is pretty and well taken care of. I would definitely stay here again!

  • As usual, everything was great at Tim's, highly recommended! Surprised to see a review with bad things to say about the neighborhood-- this is located approx. right between the airport and downtown, easy walking from a MARTA station. I got in late (after 11am) and walked from the station to Tim's, shortcutting through a public park, with no problem... !

  • staying in Atlanta for a day

  • Tim is a great host. He knows a lot about Atlanta, and will give you tips about where to go and what to do. He also enjoys chatting with you, having a glass of wine together or watch a movie or a serial. I truly enjoyed the time in his place. He made my transition to Atlanta (I moved here for work, and spent the first days in town at his place). We had some very nice conversations and i was very happy. His place is rather clean even if a little crowded because there are a lot of furniture. Tim makes every effort to keep everything clean and nice, and he will take good care of his guests! I see that some previous reviews complained about the location of his place. I must say that at the beginning (first day) I was also skeptical of the location. The street looks dark and not in a very nice neighborhood. I then realized that the place is safe, neighbors are nice honest working class people (not a luxury neighborhood, but a safe area!). The only problem is that if you don't have a car it is a little isolated. MARTA (subway) is not far, but not even that close and the streets are dark at night. If you are looking for a place in downtown/midtown, that's not the place. If you have a car, it is fine! Overall, I absolutely do recommend Tim and his place!

  • Tim was a very helpful host. He picked me up from the Marta station and gave me some tips about where to go and what to do.

The house has its pretty back garden. I liked to sit there and read a book and watch the birds. The neighbourhood was all similar houses, very green and quiet. I wasn't too sure about the way to the Marta station, which was not far at all. I met two other guests while I was there and we all agreed we didn't feel comfortable walking there, especially after dark. This won't be an issue if you're coming with a car.

There are 3 cats and a dog living in the house. While Tim does try to keep the place clean and tidy, it doesn't always go well with the animals around. Especially the cats feel free to go everywhere and into anything. I had to always watch out that they wouldn't go in my room when the door was open, or wouldn't try to share my coffee.

  • Another great stay with Tim... worth noting that Tim is a hospitality professional, makes things a step above someone simply renting their extra room. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Atlanta!

  • Tim was great and very accommodating. The hostel was nicely furnished, clean, and quite comfortable. The backyard seemed like a nice place to relax, though I didn't make much use of it. The hostel was an easy 10 minute walk from the Marta station, which was very convenient. In response to some of the previous comments, I was out until 1 or 2 am most nights of my week stay and felt completely safe during my lone walks back to the hostel. I'll try to stay here whenever I'm back in the area again.

About
I am a very relaxed and easygoing and open minded guy looking to host people and make new friends around the world. I have always wanted to work in the hospitality industry since I was a kid it was a dream of mine to own my own bed and Breakfast. I lived in my home on Tift Ave for almost eleven years. I have hosted many friends and travelers from around the world in my historic home. Now that I found out about Air BNB, I am opening my home to you. I now have four properties close to downtown Atlanta two in historic Capital View neighborhood and two in Historic Adair Park neighborhood. they are both very close to downtown and walking distance from the marta train station and bus stops so Its very easy to get around the city without the need for a car. Several of the homes also can be booked entirely for larger groups.I also have many hostel spaces available great for travelers on a budget. I love to share travel stories drink good wine and eat good food. I like almost anything as far as food goes and red and white white alike as well as a good beer. I really don't have any major rules just be a polite guest as I will be a great host and even show you around if you need me to. I also love the outdoors and know some great places to hike in Atlanta. I also love to cook, drink wine or beers and eat good food and have a Nice large kitchen for you to make yourself at home in as well as each house has a great private backyard and fire pit and large front porches, The house I live at on Tift Ave has a hot tub that's great for skinny dipping and also has 3 cats and a small dog you will love. My other 3 properties do not have any animals unless a guest happens to have one.
