  • Very convenient location for excursions (Atlantic Avenue MTA station is a major hub). Very nice and helpful hosts. Clean, comfortable accommodations in a partially restored old brownstone (a work in progress).

  • My wife and I along with our son and his girlfriend stayed with Christopher during a recent trip to New York. Christopher was a great host. He answered questions that I had before I booked the reservation, and communicated with me after it was booked. We found that our accommodations were just as Christopher described and everything was clean and comfortable. It snowed about 10" and was extremely cold outside during our stay but the temperature was comfortable inside of Christopher's home and in our room. The bathroom was clean, spacious and had a great shower and tub. Christopher and his wife saw to it that our stay was pleasant and answered any questions that we had. They provided breakfast each morning which featured great fresh bread from a local market, eggs, tea, coffee and juice. There was also oatmeal, cereal and milk available.

Christopher's home is a block from the Atlantic Ave. subway station from which you can easily take a subway to Manhattan, other neighborhoods in Brooklyn or anywhere in the city. There are bars, restaurants, cafe's and stores within easy walking distance. I drove to Brooklyn and was able to find street parking very close to Christopher's house.

I enthusiastically recommend Christopher and will stay with him again when I go to NYC.

  • Two friends and I went to New York for New Year's Eve and we had an amazing time! Christopher and Constance were great hosts and very knowledgeable of the building's history. Their place was very clean and comfortable (and cute!). It was a short walk to the Atlantic Ave/Barclay's Center subway station, which had almost every line connected to it. I would definitely stay there again!!

  • Our accommodations were nice and as expected: three rooms on (and the entirety of) the second floor of a Brooklyn brownstone, one a master with a king, one small room with one bed, and one room with three beds. The house is impressive in its architecture, with 11 or 12 foot ceilings and really grand woodwork; it's clean; though it's also still progressing through what is surely a long-term rehabilitation to its original glory, making it a bit rustic. There's a big clean bathroom with shower and tub and good hot water on the same floor. It's about a three minute walk to Atlantic station, which was very convenient.

Christopher served as our host. He was attentive as necessary, serving a light breakfast at the time that we requested (with fresh bread available after 8:15, jam, and coffee). We had keys and were invited to come & go as we pleased. Wireless internet worked fine.

We (I, my wife, two sons of 13 and 16 years, and my father) would certainly stay here again. If you're looking for the ultimate in luxury, you'd best look elsewhere, but for a nice place and good innkeeper, as a crash-pad for exploring NYC without breaking the bank, it's great. My wife, who's fussy about cleanliness, had no complaints. My kids were delighted. We had a great time on our visit to NYC.

  • Location, Location, Location! Outstanding in all respects. I could not have picked better accommodations. This B&B is a single city block away from 8 major NYV subway lines and the LIRR. For only $30 per person, we had unlimited access to the subway system for a week, and went to the far reaches of the NYC boroughs. This B&B is only a block away from the Atlantic Center shopping, and the Barclay Center. The Steinon family was very kind and accommodating. The bathroom was large and modern. Maybe it was exhaustion, but we all slept better in their beds than we do in our own at home. It was a great vacation, staying at this B&B made it so. Thank you to the Stienon's

  • We greatly enjoyed our stay here. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms were spacious and had everything we needed. The bathroom was huge and I enjoyed being able to take a relaxing bath at the end of a day of sightseeing. Christopher and his wife were welcoming hosts and provided us a nice breakfast each morning. The neighborhood was pretty quiet though there was some normal amount of background noise being in a big city. I brought a noise machine for white noise and it was fine. They do have a cat which was not a problem for us but if you have allergies you should be aware. The location is very convenient- only 1 block to a supermarket/pharmacy and to the subway from which you can get to Manhattan in about 30 minutes. We walked around at night and felt safe doing so. There is no TV in the rooms but there is wireless internet. Street parking is scarce but we parked a block away in the mall for $20 per day so that was fine. When we come back to New York we will definitely stay here again!

  • Outstanding stay. Comfortable bed, wonderful breakfast, large clean and beautiful bathroom. Christopher and Constance are warm, caring, interesting people. Location was ideal for us. We hope to stay there again next time we are in Brooklyn.

  • We were three people staying at Christopher's for a whole week and we enjoyed our stay a lot! First of all, the location is perfect! It is a good neighbourhood and there are three metro stations really close to the house (max. 5 Min.), supermarkets and several good restaurants around the corner. The old house is beautifully designed, rooms were clean and we had a separate and large bathroom. Breakfast was good and Christopher and his wife were very friendly. It is a quite accomodation; however earplugs are recommended due to some noise coming from the streets.

  • I highly recommend this beautiful B&B accommodation. We stayed for only 3 days and found the location great, it is only minutes from the subway train that took us to midtown Manhattan in less the a 30 minutes. The beautifully furnished rooms are large and very comfortable.
Christopher and his wife are great hosts, always helpful and with a warm smile. As noted in the reviews the breakfast is absolutely special. Everything was PERFECT we would defiantly love to stay with them again
