We were in Salem for a wedding, and Amanda's apartment was a pleasant and relaxing place to stay and get ready for the wedding.
Amanda was flexible with our arrival and check-out times, and gave us a nice overview of Salem. While we didn't have a whole lot of time to explore Salem outside the wedding, Amanda told us about an especially scenic route to walk to the wedding.
Amanda was out the night we stayed at her place, but she left a nice assortment of food and coffee for us to enjoy in the morning. Having breakfast and French press coffee on her deck overlooking the neighborhood rooftops was the perfect way to end our brief visit to Salem.
I enjoyed my brief stay at Amanda's apartment in lovely Salem, MA! Amanda was an excellent host and made me feel welcome in her cozy apartment. She was great with communication prior to the visit and provided all the necessary information ahead of time. The room itself was very pleasant - clean and nicely decorated with a comfortable bed - and I appreciated having sole use of the non-attached bathroom. The house and room are not air-conditioned but a window fan was provided, and it did not feel overly warm or humid. The location is also great - a quiet residential neighborhood with plenty of free street parking and an easy 15-minute walk to downtown Salem and the waterfront.
All in all, I enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend Amanda's place as a base for a visit to Salem!
Absolute joy to stay at Amanda's home. Great location, wonderful accommodations.
Amanda's communications were excellent and made us feel comfortable in her place, which was in a great location - a short walk into town and nice neighborhood. Bed was comfortable and her dog Buck was so sweet.
Great stay, just what I needed to help daughter move from college
Thank Amanda. And of course, Buck!
Amanda made everything easy for me from early check in to giving me a space for things in her fridge to sorting out the hair conditioner I forgot. The oatmeal and English muffins for breakfast were just right. The room was comfortable and the bathroom just down the hall. I had a place for my car and walking to Salem took about 25 minutes as I had to walk slowly, others might walk more quickly. The neighbourhood felt totally safe coming back in the dark. It is a really good place to stay in Salem. And her dog Buck is just about the best dog in the world.
I had a great experience staying with Amanda. She was very nice and her dog Buck was very friendly. She is within walking distance to the historic Chestnut street and downtown Salem.
