Tom's B&B was clean, gorgeous, and in a great spot in Carlow. We were pleasantly surprised by the turn down service. Things were spotless and they though of everything from a razor to a shower cap and a water boiler. Our stay was wonderful and we'd definitely come back. Thanks Tom!

Our stay was perfect. The room was spotless, as was the bath. It was clean and quiet. Tom was very helpful with all our questions, both before our stay via the internet and while we were there. Breakfast was great and our stay enjoyable.

What a great find. Tom has a BnB and lists with Airbnb also. You can not be disappointed with your stay. A big plus is easy parking off the street. Downtown areas are sometimes difficult to find secure parking. Our room was fairly large. We are traveling for a month and have a little more luggage than most, probably. It made our room a little tighter...our fault, not Tom's. There is not one ammenity that was not thought of. Even a unique trouser press that I have never seen before. If you have forgotten something, I am sure you will find it in your room. There is a delightful little breakfast room with a large selection for a continental breakfast but on top of that, you may order a hot breakfast. Quite generous. Tom goes out of his way to give tips, directions or any help you might need to choose where to go. There are restaurants and and pubs within walking distance.

Avlon House was a great stop during our travels throughout Ireland. It was clean, easy to locate, and was an accurately represented online. Carlow itself is a quiet town, though it worked out well for a relaxing night in between long days of travel. It is worth noting that the bedroom and bathroom were much larger than we experienced at any hotel. Tom was a great host and cooked a big, delicious breakfast for us at the end of our stay.
